Kiss Me Baby

This isn't the greatest plumper out there, but it is definitely a very nice lip balm. It does have the "e" for excellence on the tube which is something that I always look for on all my beauty products. I will for sure be buying this again.

Use

Dona by Jo pomegranate martini plumping lip balm is great for everyone. It can be used on a daily basis by men, women & is even gentle enough for kids. There are no allergy warnings or precautions on it.

When I first opened it, I thought I wasn't going to like it. As soon as I took the cap off the first thing that I noticed was that it looked really gritty. Since it is pomegranate I assumed that it would be a pinkish color. But much to my surprise, it is a yellowish color. The little gritty things are more of a creamy white placed sporadically throughout it.

Once I put it on I was surprised that there was nothing gritty on my lips. You do have to be kind of light handed with it when you put it on since it is very soft. It feels nice on. I do feel a slight tingle, but not even close to other plumpers that I have tried. When I asked my daughter if my lips looked different, she said no. I then had her try it, she liked it, but I couldn't tell a difference. They do feel bigger, but visually I can't see any difference. It does feel a little greasy, but I like that in a balm, so I didn't mind it.

Taste / Aroma

I like the light taste which is a mixture of menthol & pomegranate. The taste is very light, not overpowering at all. When you open it, it smells sooo good! However once on, I couldn't smell it unless I curled my lips up and sniffed hard.

Performance

At first you can really feel it on your lips. After about a half hour, it's a little thicker. Definitely not as noticeable unless you rub your lips together. And by then the taste & smell is gone also.

I do like it as a balm, but not as a plumper. I like that it makes my lips soft and tingly. It works nicely as a chapped lip treatment.

Packaging

I had ordered a few other items at the same time and almost forgot that this was in the box. It had no package. Just the tube of balm at the bottom of the box. It is average size for a balm. 2.5" long and a diameter of .75". It is covered with black paper that has white writing all over it. Up on the lid it is a very light pink with white writing around it.
