While the Hitachi Magic Wand can be used as a body and muscle massager, it can also be used to take your clitoris to wonderland. It also feels interesting on the nipples, but I never use the Hitachi for that. Smell: There's little to no smell about the Hitachi. It is totally plastic, so it makes sharing super safe. To be perfectly honest, though, I won't ever share my wand -- I'm too afraid that I won't ever get it back. :/

Touch: The thing itself is actually pretty heavy, and my hand/arm gets tired when I use it for too long, but other than that, there aren't really any cons to the touch or feel of it. There is little to no texture about the wand, but there are plenty of awesome attachments that you can buy with it. I really like and prefer the Gee Whizzard attachment.

Taste: Tastes like plastic!

I wouldn't suggest this toy to beginners. Not because of the texture or any of the above, but just because the vibrations are superpower strong.

I love the way the wand looks. It is recognizable in literally any lesbian porno known to man. The shape, I think, could be a bit better. Maybe if there was a rubber grip attached to it, I would like the shape better, because as it is, it frequently slips out of my hand during use.

The size is a bit surprising when you first see it. When I opened the box, I honestly wasn't expecting the wand to be as big or as long as it was, but that doesn't mean I was disappointed. The only thing that really disappoints me at all about the wand, is that it isn't discreet. At all. Hiding the wand was pretty easy for me, though. I just put it in a shoe box by itself and put it in the top of my closet.

I don't suggest traveling with it, but only on the basis that it may become damaged if tossed in with other hard objects. When I travel, I don't take this toy with me -- I'm too afraid someone in the next room over will hear me using it.

The vibrations are located at the bulbous head of the wand, and there are two speeds: high and low. Low was really powerful for me in the beginning, but I gradually moved up to the high speed. I don't suggest putting the vibrations on high for your first go -- they made my jump out of bed.

The controls are located toward the end of the handle, and it is a simple push-switch. Push down on the bottom, and it is in low speed. If you push on the top while it is on low speed, the toy will turn off. Push the top again to go into high speed. Simple!

Now... about the noise. You're not going to want to use this if someone is home and you don't want them to know you're masturbating. It is LOUD. The vibrations can be muffled a little if you put a blanket over you, but it still isn't quiet. The lawnmower and chainsaw scenario I mentioned earlier? That actually happened to me when my roommate came home.

The toy is not waterproof. If you use this toy in water, you will die. Or even worse, kill the toy. This toy is powered by electricity -- you plug it into the wall.

As I said before, I keep it in a shoe box in my closet. That's the only place that isn't totally out in the open. Care is very easy; just wipe it down with a wet washcloth with a disinfectant on it, or just a toy cleaner. Lube isn't necessary, but if you need it, plastic is compatible with either water or silicone lube.

The Hitachi came in a cardboard box with its pictures and functions all over it. It can be used as a storage box, for sure. I tossed mine because it broke, but for a while, I was just keeping the wand in its box. I don't suggest using the box for a gift idea, because someone might get the wrong impression.
