LELO Antibacterial Spray

Use

Just simply spray on your dirty toys and wipe, I also rinse due to the smells of the cleaner. You can use this to clean all of your toys including your beloved silicones. According to the box, Lelo’s antibacterial spray contains active anti-microbial ingredients proven to kill 99.9% of all germs. They have added Zinc salts to reduce any chances of irritation. It also contains additional anti-viral and anti fungal properties. Lelo states that it is PH balanced and alcohol free. According to the packaging you can also use this to clean rubber and latex.

Ingredients:

Aqua
Propylene Glycol
Phenoxyethanol
Decyl Glucoside
PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocate
PEG-12 Dimethicone
Sucralose
Sorbitol
Zinc Gluconate
Zinc Acetate
Zinc Lactate
Chlorohexidine gluconate
Citric Acid
Disodium EDTA
Benzalkoium Chloride

I am quite familiar with Chlorohexidine gluconate, it is used every single day in the hospital that I work in. There are many cases of allergic reaction to this product. We use it to prep skin before IV insertions. It is a very effective anti microbial. It is also used in wipes that are sent home with pre surgery patients to prep their skin before surgeries. Again, some users may have allergic reactions to it.

Both the sucralose and Sorbitol are artificial sweeteners. I have no idea why they would be in this type of product.

Phenoxyethanol is actually an ether that has been replacing parabens in cosmetics. These too can cause allergic reactions.

I would definitely suggest to either left your toys dry completely after wiping them down with this product or rinsing them with water afterwards.

I didn’t taste this chemical compound but it does have a chemical scent to it.

It comes in a white box and the inner pump type spray bottle is discrete with LELO on the front of it. It is only sold at Eden in the 2 ounce bottle. The spray bottle is white and actually resembles a perfume bottle, be careful not to mistake this and spray it on your neck when getting ready in the morning.

The small bottle is good for travel.

Experience
I received this as a free gift with purchase. I would have never purchased it due to it's cost. It sells for $8.90 per 2 ounces. That's $35.60 for 8 ounces, $44.50 for 10 ounces. Compared with the before and after toy cleaner that I prefer that is 4 times as much. They both tout the same actions of cleaning. This cleaner has a very chemically scent to it and I wasn't impressed. I am concerned with several of the ingredients especially if I weren't planning on rinsing afterwards. I also rinse after using my before and after spray. It gets 2 stars because it does get your toys clean.
Follow-up commentary
I have received more as free gift with purchase and I like to use it but I definitely would not purchase this on it's own. It is n't that much better for the price they ask for it.
