Magic Wand Original - massager by Vibratex - review by panthercat23

When I ordered this I was looking for a replacement for my Fairy wand which recently died. :( The Fairy was out of stock but I've always heard and read good things about the Hitachi, so I decided to give it a go.

I'm not a fan of being tethered by a cord; I would much prefer if this had a cordless option.

The vibrations have very few options: on/off, low, and high. The vibrations are controlled by a toggle switch. Trust me when I say the high vibration setting is very powerful. The low setting is good to start things off with but typically not strong enough to get me off. The high setting will get me off but I can't enjoy it for too long because it will leave me numb.

Another thing I wasn't a huge fan of but is not a problem either is that the handle is very long, over 9" long. It is good for solo use to reach but when using it with a partner I find it to be too long. One way that I had used my Fairy and have attempted to use the Hitachi is while getting fucked in missionary it rests between us on my clit so with every stroke it moves just the least bit. This works okay but since the handle is so long it tends to dig into either my partner or I and tends to make things uncomfortable.

This is meant for external stimulation. The head is quite large, about 2.5" in diameter. I think it would be quite large to attempt inserting it, though it might be possible. But I would advise against it.

It is made of plastic so it is easy to clean with soap and water, or toy cleaners. You can also use water, oil, or silicon based lubes with this since it is made of plastic.

The box it comes in describes the head as "soft." That made me think it would have some give but no it is a hard unforgiving plastic.

Storage can be a pain because of its size. This is not a toy that will blend well in plain sight. It is also very loud; it is something that can easily be heard through closed doors and walls.

Another use for this is as a massager. I have a bad back and it works really quite well for this. Though I've learned that the high vibration setting can be somewhat painful if used in locations where the bones are close to the skin, such as tops of shoulders.
