Come on in, the water's Pink!

This is everything I could ask for in a lubricant. It's natural feeling and not very thick. It actually moisturizes and has never led to infections or any such problems. It is my favorite, bar none.

Use

Pink water is a water based lubricant from the Pink line that has been specially formulated for women. It works well vaginally and externally, as well as during intercourse and solo. It is compatible with all toys and condoms. However, this is not likely to last long enough for anal play.

Though this lubricant is geared towards the ladies, men can use it too. For those men who might find either the name or the bottle's aesthetics too feminine, the makers of Pink Water have an analogous product for men called Gun Oil H2O.

Pink water is glycerin free and has a lot of natural ingredients like Ginseng, Guarana and oat. With added aloe vera, this lubricant leaves skin refreshed and conditioned. It feels so natural; you might think it's all you.

Since it is water based, it can be used with all toys. I have found that a little goes a long way. This stuff really does last. It is great for use vaginally and for masturbation. I have tried it anally but had to use more than usual. A lube with a thicker consistency would be a wiser choice for anal play.

Here are the ingredients as listed on the bottle:
Water, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Aloe Barbadensis, Leaf Extract, Methylparaben, Diazolidinyl Urea, Propylparaben, Sodium Benzoate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Paullinia Cupana (Guarana) Seed Extract, Avena Sativa (Oat) Extract, Polysorbate-20, PEG-45M, Polyquarternium-5, Aspartame.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Pink Water is clear and very thin. Its consistency is more like water than a gel. Those looking for a thicker lubricant should look the other way.
Each pump delivers a pea-sized dollop of lube. It took roughly 100 circles drawn with one finger to rub in one pump on the back of my hand.

I typically put it directly on my toys. Unless I smear it around right away, I find myself turning the toy around wildly in my hand so it doesn't drip off. I've found it easier to apply it directly to the skin.

This is just showing how far it ran down my hand after holding it up vertically for 5 seconds.

As it dries it becomes more of an oil feel rather than that super slick feel when it's fresh out of the bottle. I wouldn't say it is tacky, more like a slight greasy texture. It absorbs into the skin entirely, leaving it noticeably smoother and fresh feeling.

Taste / Aroma

I am sensitive to smells and this doesn't bother me at all. It smells like white paste with a floral undertone. This scent is not arousing to me or my partner, but luckily it's only smelly if you bury your nose in it.

Pink water isn't marketed as an edible lubricant, yet it contains aspartame. The makers claim that it is unflavored. Do not be fooled though, the taste is a bad one. Slightly acidic is really the only way I can describe it and just overall bad flavor.

Performance

There's no two ways about it, this lubricant is definitely made ”for women". It does what it claims to do! It's refreshing and has a clean natural feeling. It won't get gummy or lather up either.

It lasts just long enough for me to get naturally wet so I don't have to reapply. For a lube with such a thin consistency, I am surprised at how long it does last.

Be aware that it will not hold up in the shower or under water. Under the tap or in a bowl of water, it washed off my fingers within seconds.

Clean up couldn't be easier. Just a little soap and water will do the trick. With its moisturizing capabilities, pink water will actually leave you feeling fresh and soft. Pink water also doesn't stain your clothes or bedding.

While it does contain parabens, I (knock wood) have not gotten an infection or had any problems with it. I am one of those unlucky ones who is sensitive to everything. Those with sensitivities to glycerin will surely love this.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Feels natural

Packaging

It comes in three sizes, all of which come in the same type of bottle. There is a 1.7oz travel size, a 3.25oz regular size and a 6.75 economy size. The bottle itself comes entirely covered by a clear shrink wrapped plastic. The bottle is, in fact, what initially drew me in. It has a lot of shelf appeal. It looks feminine and discreet.

Here is a picture of the front of the bottle:

I have the 3.25oz bottle which is also a great size for travel.

On the back you'll find a list of ingredients and directions for use. Here is a picture of the back of the bottle:

Light can pass through the bottle so you can see how much is left in your bottle.

The pump top is great for ease of use and allows you to get as little or as much as you want without making a mess.

There's a plastic cap that slides over the pump for travel or storing. The pump itself can be turned clockwise to lock and you'll never have to worry about it making a mess or having your lube leaking anywhere. Even left unlocked and on its side, it just won't leak. I can confidently store this in my dresser drawer knowing my clothes are totally safe.
    • Does not leak
    • Easy to use / dispense
    • Can be opened with one hand

Experience

This was my first lubricant and if someone told me it had to be my last I wouldn't be sad in the least. While I have nothing to compare it to at this time, I do love this lubricant!
I am very sensitive to chemicals and am easily irritated. I was looking for something that would be cost effective, non-irritating, feel natural and be safe to use with my silicone toys. After extensively patch testing every water-based lube at a local sex shop, I found one that satisfied all my criteria. Hail Pink Water!

I am pretty wet by nature so this lube is exactly what I need. Usually, I tend to use it just to get things going. I have actually never had to reapply, with the exception of a few anal adventures.

Pink water is just slippery enough. It feels really natural and I don't feel like I'm all lubed up, which is great!

The pump top is efficient and easy to use even with slippery fingers.

Pink water gets bonus points for versatility. With the use of tampons, I can get dry and irritated and pink water works great for a little moisture boost to keep me comfortable during that time.

I've also found that this stuff works decently for body massages. I can use one of my more rumbly silicone vibes on my partners back with the Pink water. It provides lots of glide and absorbs into the skin nicely. It won't last that long but my partner doesn't feel greasy or have to hop in the shower after he gets a massage.

In the interest of being discreet, the shrink-wrap plastic can be completely removed to reveal a plain white semi-translucent bottle.
Follow-up commentary
I have since tried a couple other water-based lubes and this one is still hanging on to its number 1 spot on my charts.

The natural feel and thin consistency is everything I could want for vaginal use and keeps me coming back to this fantastic lubricant. I was disappointed to see it was discontinued here on Eden but I will continue to buy this elsewhere and keep my arsenal constantly stocked with Pink Water.
