Maximus is amazing for everything! I didn't quite believe the others, but it's true: it does feel like the real thing! I love it for any kind of penetration play. It's wonderful for adding a little moisture to vaginal sex and is fantastic for anal intercourse or toy play. The texture is just thick enough to coat very evenly for anal or vaginal play, and there is really no mess with the pump and no dripping. It's just a bit too slippery for me for external play, but I prefer external play with more pressure and friction, so that is highly subjective.

The thickness of Maximus is superb. The amount needed will never drip (and you only need about a pea-sized amount—or two—worth). It has an incredibly slippery, smooth texture that feels like a slightly more slippery and much longer-lasting version of the real thing. The pump bottle is wonderful and easy to use. I bought Maximus because of all the reviews saying it doesn't dry to a sticky mess—it's true! It NEVER gets sticky. It goes from incredibly slippery to velvety to just nothing—no sticky residue, nothing! It's not oily feeling like some silicone lubes I've tried and not sticky like most water-based ones. I adore this stuff! It stays in place anywhere you put it: on skin, silicone, or jelly (probably glass as well, but I don't have the experience). Spreading it evenly on anal toys is so easy—a perfect amount stays as a thin layer everywhere it is spread. I expected it to dry quickly since it does have a thicker consistency, but it lasts a looong time—enough time for almost anyone!

The taste is mildly sweet with a very slight bitterness, as is expected. It is not enough to be unpleasant, by any means, or to deter afterplay. There is no scent whatsoever that I have noticed.

Just a minute amount lasts a few minutes when tested by rubbing it between my fingers. The amount I usually use, a one to two pea-size quantity, lasts over an hour—probably over two! It's hardly noticeable that it's drying since it doesn't get sticky at all. I've never had to add more unless I didn't use enough initially (which is rare since so little is needed). Maximus is everything I ever want from a lube! Of the dozen or so different ones I have tried (most of the drugstore stuff and a few online buys), Maximus is the only one that received zero complaints from me. I am never using anything else again! It lasts a long time and is super smooth and slippery, thick, doesn't drip, stays exactly where it's needed (which is especially great for anal play), and—absolutely best of all—it dries to almost nothing without ever getting sticky. There can be a very slight film that is easily rinsed away, but I never feel like I've had to do significant cleanup aside from standard daily washing with my toys. I've never had something I didn't have to reapply for anal play until I got this stuff. I always hated when I played around and would have to clean up a sticky residue while all exhausted by my fun, and Maximus has none of that icky, sticky feeling! In case it isn't obvious, I just adore this stuff!

The packaging is fairly standard. The bottle is pretty innocuous and looks almost like hand sanitizer unless the label is read. It is fairly sturdy and does the job nicely. The lube is thick enough to never leak, although it does dry a little in the pump head. My only complaint is that there is no locking mechanism, so it isn't really suitable for travel.

There are no special properties or added sensations. This is pretty standard lube. It just excels at every normal aspect.

I hope it never gets discontinued because I plan to be using this for years!

I was pretty excited to get this since it came with my new silicone plug. After getting very tired of how sticky my last bottle of lube was, I couldn't wait to try this out. It really exceeded all of my expectations. I (sometimes) ACTUALLY make my friends who come over try the stuff on their fingers so I can watch their eyes widen like mine in response to how amazing the stuff is. I sound crazy, I know.
