Maximus - lubricant discontinued by Bodywise Limited - review by Sexy Lexi

Recently I've started exploring anal stimulation. I had achieved anal sex with my rather well-endowed boyfriend, and it had turned me on to the whole experience. However, the lube we had used was a thin silicone based lubricant that, while awesome for vaginal sex, didn't cut it for anal play. When I picked up the Ryder plug (which I discuss in another review), I figured I should probably get some gel lubricant to go with it, since not only was my silicone lube not jiving with silicone toys, I needed something...well...squishier. Thus, I added Maximus to my cart.

When I got it, my first reaction was surprised at how huge the bottle was. Fancier, expensive lubes tend to come in disappointingly small bottles, and I had assumed the same of this stuff. No! The bottle contains nearly eight and a half ounces of lube, nearly the size of a can of pop. What I was even happier about was the pump top. No holding the bottle with sticky, slick hands. I think I speak for everyone when I say that slicked up bottles of lube is an annoyance, that we all could deal without.

I dispensed a little on my fingers to test out the consistency. It's very gel-ly, velvety soft, and slick as oil. It had no scent and a slight sweet taste. My first try with it was with my brand new Ryder plug. It eased my buttplug in with next to no discomfort, which was awesome considering I had not warmed myself up first. Later on, during sex with the boyfriend, some of the lube was used to slick up my clit, so I could play with myself while he gave me the business. I was worried the gel-like consistency would make clit-stroking sticky and difficult, but it was the opposite! It had no adverse effect and masturbation was just as easy as with a thinner lube. Best of all, upon drying, the lube just fades away to nothing, leaving no stickiness or icky sensations behind.

I highly enjoy this lube for the great assistance it lends to anal play, giving delicate tissue plenty of cushion and lubrication. It works just as well for vaginal sex, without being gummy and sticky. A must-have for every anal-play enthusiast's nightstand!

I have to follow up and rave about the Maximus anal lube. It has continued to enrich my sex life for both anal and vaginal play! The bottle barely has a dent in it, even after repeated use, and a little goes a long way. I've recommended it to a few of my friends who were interested in anal play, and all of them have said that it has enhanced the experience. The ones who were having difficulty with anal stimulation, insertables, and sex said that this lube made it so much easier and more enjoyable. I still highly recommend it!
