This is a water based sensual lubricant that can be used with silicone toys and to aid in both vaginal and anal penetration. This product will work for anyone who needs more than just natural lubrication to insert toys or partners into the hole of their choice. Personally, I think Maximus lubricant is best used during anal sex and inserting toys anally. There are four different parabens in Maximus which can cause allergic reactions in some users (more on ingredients later,) so as with anything you will be inserting or using on delicate skin, you should check the label and test it somewhere less sensitive to be sure of any reactions it could cause you.

The texture of Maximus lube is outstanding! The gel-like lube is a little thick, but not sticky or greasy feeling. It leaves only a moist feeling, not an uncomfortable feeling, and it completely absorbs into the skin when some is left after use. I find that a large amount of left over Maximus will leave me feeling a little too wet for my preferences, but any leftover lube can be easily wiped off with a cloth or tissue. If any of the lube is left on the pump dispenser to dry it will cause the next batch released to be a little stringy, however if you wipe your finger across the holes where it comes out, this problem usually doesn't occur. Maximus is ridiculously easy to control when dispensing because it comes in a pump bottle. You can easily taper the amount you want to suit your personal needs, starting with just half a pump and continuing until you are as slick as desired. Usually, it only takes one hand to dispense some of the lube either into one of your hands or right onto whatever needs inserting.

The ingredients for Maximus are as follows: Highly Purified Water, Propylene Glycol (a chemical moisturizer), Cellulose Polymer (cellulose is the most common organic compound on Earth, and a polymer of cellulose can be used to produce a protective barrier), Di Sodium EDTA (a chemical agent that helps stabilze a compound), Phenoxyethanol (commonly used as fragrance in cosmetics), Methyl Paraben, Butyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben, and Propyl Paraben (all preservatives).

As for us, we do our best not to get Maximus in our mouths because nothing about it says its good for oral consumption. You can't smell Maximus, even when you put your nose right up to some when its in your hand or when it is spread over skin. It is neutral in both smell and color.

A little bit of Maximus goes a long way. One pump from the bottle is usually more than enough for us to get through an entire session of either vaginal or anal sex. Some larger anal toys might require more than one pump, but for us those cases are very rare, so Maximus really lasts us quite a while, both amount wise and the length of time that it stays slick and aids in penetration. Cleaning up after you use it is a breeze. Its easy to wipe off, or if you choose to leave it on your skin, a small amount will absorb nicely. It has never stained any of our sheets, blankets, toys, or clothes. Maximus lubricant always gets the job done and never leaves a mess to mop up.

The only thing that is a disappointment to me about Maxumus, is the fact that natural ingredients are few and far between, and the amount of preservatives are a little off-putting. If you want an all natural lubricant there are better options out there, but that aside, Maximus functions perfectly.

Maximus comes in a clear pump bottle, with black writing. Something that I really like about the packaging is that it has a best by date stamped on it, so you can be sure not to use this product after it is past its prime.




It has never leaked from the bottle, and we store it laying on its side in a box with other lubes. Since it has a pump top, caution should be used when traveling with Maximus, those pump tops are always a bit shady, and can have a mind of their own. The front of the bottle does say, in medium sized black lettering, that it is a water based sensual lubricant, so if someone reads the bottle, they will know what it is.


The bottle measures 6 1/2 inches (pump not extended) and has a width of 2 1/8 inches across the bottom and the container holds 8.45 fluid ounces.

Something about Maximus that I consider a perk, is the fact that it doesn't offer any sort of extra sensations or flavors. It just pure, (well, slightly subsidized) unadulterated pounding the way it was made to be. No warming, cooling, smelling, or fake flavors. Another thing that I find pleasant about this lube, is that it holds up pretty well in the shower. Of course, under running water it will wash off, and it doesn't stay on the object you are inserting well if it is submerged, but in a moist environment, Maximus holds up nicely.

We have used this lube for years. It is our go to lube and we use it pretty much any time we feel frisky. It works, its reliable, easy to use, and it doesn't make a giant mess or stain sheets. It won't melt or deteriorate your silicone toys and it also helps ease things a long so that everything feels nice and slippery.

We both think that Maximus feels natural without being too thick or too runny. We both like it more than any other lube we've used in the past. I used to burn a lot vaginally with the drug store lubes like Astroglide, and KY, but I have no pain or burning what-so-ever with this product. It has made both anal and vaginal sex much more pleasant for me and much more frequent for him.
