Maximus - lubricant discontinued by Bodywise Limited - review by qcycouple1

We were searching for a new lube to try, as we had already used Astroglide (no complaints about it really, just sometimes awkward to use in the small bottle), and an Adam and Eve brand (not so great, need to frequently reapply, etc). This lube was a little more expensive than what we normally buy, but after reading reviews we thought we'd give it a try.

Since this lube is water based, it is safe for toys. However, our primary reason for purchasing this lube was the reviews that it was great for anal sex. Since the lube is more lotion like and thicker, it was easy to apply and less messy. There were no accidental drips on the sheets or floor to clean up, and it was fun to apply on each other. It didn't feel sticky or dry out, which was a nice change. Normally, other lubes require some post-sex cleanup but neither of us felt "gross" and sticky afterwards. This lube also didn't have an overly obnoxious smell. To us, it was fairly odorless.

The only complaint (which really wasn't a complaint - more of a comment) from my partner was that it didn't taste as good as other lubes. He stated it didn't taste "bad", just different and not as sweet. We liked the ease of the pump bottle as opposed to a flip-cap or screw off cap.

The packaging is pretty standard, clear bottle which is somewhat discreet. I wouldn't leave it on the nightstand, but I try to not do that with any of our sexual aids. Since it is a pump bottle, storage is a little bit more difficult, but we haven't had any issues with leaks. We do close the pump completely when putting it away.

We were very pleased with this purchase and felt it added a lot to our anal play. It was well worth the added money.
