Pinstripe woven chemise - chemise discontinued by Coquette - review by Peggi

As I may have mentioned before, I do love pinstripes so this was a quick choice for me but I also love the rest of the design. Just as important as the design, I like the colors. I've always preferred darker colors, and this also works well with my style. Throw on dark boots and this can look more "dark" or "punk".

This is a one piece chemise (does not come with a thong) and comes in sizes small, medium, large or extra large. I chose the extra large. It came as some other pieces have come in the past. It was wrapped in thin pink paper like you'd wrap a present in, and was rolled up in my Eden box.

It is made out of 100% polyester, which should only be hand-washed and hung to dry. It is listed on the Eden website as microfiber, but the tag specifically states "polyester". The chemise is very smooth and silky feeling on the body and almost feels like you are wearing a slip. It is completely comfortable and not itchy at all. The material also stretches, so it can accommodate even if you are a bit too big for the actual size chart.



The majority of the chemise is black. The very bottom is lined with red and there is a red bow with a shiny "diamond" button between the breasts. There is also ribbon going down each of the cups, right down the middle, criss-crossed to make X's. The pinstripe design is located over both of the cups but nowhere else. There is underwire to the chemise, though it does not provide a lot of support.





The closure on the back of the chemise is hook-and-eye. These are very comfortable and don't dig into the skin or irritate at all. You do not notice the clasps at all during wear, even in the bedroom!



This chemise fits very well, hugging my body in the right places and still very loose. I probably could've even gone with a size smaller! There was plenty of breathing room, but it did fit snugly enough to not be uncomfortable. In the back of the chemise right above the shoulder blade area is an opening, a large cut-out circle.

I chose the XL, which according to the size chart means I should have a D cup, 42-44" bust, 34 - 36" waist and a 44-46" hip. My actual measurements are large C cup, 38" bust, 32" waist and a 40" hip. I typically fluctuate between 125 and 135 pounds and am 5'2" tall. As I said, this fits me very well, but is loose, so the chemise is going to be pretty true to the size chart.

The adjustable straps extend from 15 1/4" at their shortest to 24.5" at their longest. The cut-out measures 8" at its longest point and adds a sexy touch! The chemise is a total of 26" from between the cleavage area to the bottom.

I hang my lingerie up in our closet since privacy is not an issue, and you may be able to do the same, though this chemise would be just fine in a drawer as well. It is too slippery to stay folded in a drawer easily, but does not wrinkle easily.

I love this chemise and rated it 5 out of 5 stars! It looks so sexy with my lace-up boots and I love the ribbon on the breast area as well as the pinstripes on the cups!

This is still one of my top favorite pieces of clothing that I have gotten from this site. I still wear it often, and enjoy it! My girlfriend even borrowed it, and her husband loves it! We are about the same size, though she has a little bit of a tummy from having a baby recently, and it made her feel sexier than ever! I am still very happy that I made this purchase.
