Piped lace and satin corset - corset discontinued by Coquette - review by Cherry21

This piece of lingerie is a good quality piece. It is a full boned lace & satin corset. It fits me well in a size medium, and I'm about a size 5. The patterns on the corset are very detailed, and while this corset doesn't offer much support, it definitely pushed the boobs up there!

The size medium states that it fits a size 6-10, with a B cup size. I am a size 5, with larger B cup sized boobs, and I wear this corset just fine. I don't cinch mine down tight though, so that may be the difference there. This would easily fit a size 5-ish to a size 10-ish. That is with a smaller size B cup to to a cup size small C. This corset is pretty hard to put on by yourself. It would be much easier if someone could help, but if no one is available, you can do like I did. I cinched the laces down to just a little bit loose of what I thought I needed them to be, then I put it on over my head, and closed the front hook and eye clasps, then proceeded to pull to laces tight, while looking in a mirror, starting at the top and working my way down. It worked for me, even though it did take some time to get all the way tied on.

This item must be dry-cleaned if it needs to be fully cleaned. If it has no major spots on it though, a light home steam cleaning would probably suffice.

The beautiful pattern on this corset has small flowers is what it looks like to me, but its not exactly fully formed flowers. It is very Victorian looking, as other reviews have stated. The red satin is very smooth, with no crinkles in it. The lace lays just over the satin in the small flower-like patterns, and over the boning as well.

The bones are very sturdy and made of plastic, and can be a bit uncomfortable if you aren't aware exactly what you are purchasing here. They run all the way from the bottom edge to the top edge, and all the way around the corset as well. These are plastic bones, not steel bones. So this corset is really for light-wear, as it doesn't have the structure as a steel boned one would, and doesn't cinch in or hold the waistline very well. It still works great for a sexy lingerie piece, a costume top, or even a great corset top with jeans for a night on the town!

The corset laces up the back with black satin ribbon. This corset doesn't have one of those panels that covers the skin under the lacing, it shows through. Personally, I love this feature. That is why I bought it, I wanted an open back corset. I think it looks very sexy! The corset also has removable garter clips on it, and they hang from 3 spots in the front, one from each side, and one across each butt cheek! This corset is very sexy with some thigh high socks and some high heels!

It comes with removable straps as well. I never used mine, and have since lost them. But others might appreciate the fact that they would help hold the corset up a bit. The corset doesn't offer any support, but it doesn't really need to. It pulls you boobs up, and squishes them to your body and out the top! It actually creates a very sexy silhouette, especially when your boobs are spilling out the top! I don't lace mine tightly; I don't like the way it squeezes my arm pit fat area, but I know many cinch theirs down very tightly. If I was to do that, being a size 5, I would have selected a size small. So just be aware if you're looking for smaller waist and are my size (size 5 or so), go for a size small instead of a medium!

Bought this corset for lingerie purposes, but have since worn it with a costume too! I was a pirate!

I've only ever steam cleaned mine at home, so mine has never been dry-cleaned or anything else, and mine still looks the same as when it was shipped to me! The red is still bright, and the lace has held up for the 4 months that I've had mine. I've worn mine as lingerie, with a costume, and as a sexy top with jeans out more than once!
