Naughty people chemise - chemise discontinued by Coquette - review by Fishie Princess

At first I wasn't sure about this chemise. I had looked at it online, put it on my wishlist, looked at it some more.
I was disappointed that I couldn't see a close up of the pattern on the website. Eventually, I decided to order it. I'm definitely glad I did!

The fabric is a very soft, comfy pajama material and the nightie appears to be of solid construction. I am a DD and wear a size 18 pants and the 1X/2X size fit me well, when I cinched up the shoulder straps, and it still had enough length to consistently cover my bum. The fabric is stretchy and doesn't hold much shape though, so if you are looking for it to offer any support or conceal lumps/rolls, you're out of luck. Instead it clings to any chubby bits you may have and shows them off, the little people showing white lines if you stretch the print out too far.

That said, the chemise is wearable right out of the packaging and doesn't smell funny, unlike other printed fabrics that stink or feel stiff from the ink. The tag says "handwash only", but by the looks of the stitching and my experience with other Coquette products, I imagine it will weather a run through the washing machine just fine.

The pattern is truly adorable. I was impressed by the racial diversity of the little "naughty people", as well as the diversity in genital size, age, emotion, sexual expression and even evolutionary status - there's a monkey, zombie and skeleton mixed in too! The only identities I noticed missing were fat people and trans people. There are so many different people that every time you look at the pattern, you see something different which keeps it interesting. I think my favorite people are the grandma with her boobs down near her waist and the emo boy with the mopey penis.
