Contoured G-spot vibrator discontinued

Better Moka than Starbucks

The PicoBong Moka is a more affordable, slightly larger version of the Lelo Gigi. Its variety of moderately strong vibration patterns will thrill even advanced users and its perfectly designed head will stimulate the g-spot with ease. If you prefer intense g-spot pressure to more gentle stimulation, choose the Moka over the zimilar PicoBong Zizo.

Use

The Moka by PicoBong is a multi-function insertable vibrator designed to pinpoint the g-spot. PicoBong is a subset of Lelo, which makes Lelo's high-end toy designs more affordable and attainable for all. The Moka is curved dramatically, with a hooked, angled head that is easy to insert and even easier to use. It homes right in on that delightful spot for intense pressure. It is shaped almost exactly like Lelo's Ella (a slightly smaller, non-vibrating version of the Moka) and Gigi (a slightly smaller, rechargeable version, with surprisingly similar vibration strengths).

The Moka has twelve moderately strong vibration settings, offering a huge selection of strengths and patterns. It can be used for external stimulation as well, since its vibrations are located primarily in the head, making it perfect for sliding back and forth along the clitoris or any other erogenous zones. Its perfect g-spotting shape and simple controls make it a wonderful choice for beginners looking to learn more about g-spot pleasure and hoping to experience a wide range of vibration patterns. The variety will thrill beginners and advanced users alike.

Material / Texture

This toy is made of primarily silicone, with a ribbed, hard plastic base and inflexible plastic housing inside for the mechanical components. Presumably, this hard inner core runs throughout the toy, because the Ella, which is all silicone, has a little bit of flexibility to it, while the Moka has none at all. The plastic base has an opening at the very bottom where you can connect the included PicoBong charm if you so choose. Silicone is non-porous and hypoallergenic. It is one of the safest toy materials on the market, making it ideal for those with skin sensitivities or with concerns about the safety of other less body-friendly toy materials. It has a very light, distinctive smell to it if you place your nose up against it. Other than that, it is odor- and taste-free.

The Moka is completely firm and solid, with no give to it when squeezed. Like the Zizo, there is a slight seam visible down the center of the toy, but unlike the Zizo, I cannot feel the seam at all with my fingertips. There is also a PicoBong logo embossed in the left side, as well as raised buttons on the right side. Otherwise, the toy is free of texture. It is smooth and matte, with the same familiar velvety feel as the more expensive Lelo lines. This texture is appropriate for beginners and advanced users alike. It depends upon your preferences, but a smooth surface is a great starting point for people who are new to vibrating toys.

Design / Shape / Size

I love the design of the Moka, as it's so similar to one of my all-time favorite dildos, the Ella. It is a very slightly larger version, but its lovely curves and effective design remain the same. The broad, flat head of the Moka can be used for more overall stimulation of the g-spot or, if you angle the toy slightly, the point of the flattened head can drive against the just the right place, making for even better pinpoint pressure. Unlike the Ella, the Moka should not be inserted handle end first, since it lacks the bulged handle and its plastic end does not have the smoothest edges.

Perhaps catering to complaints that the Ella and the Gigi were too small, the Moka is slightly, but noticeably larger. As such, it lacks only somewhat in the amount of maneuverability that the slender Ella has. The Moka is 1 1/4" across at its broad, flat head, where the Ella is only 1" and also has a more slender neck. Ella and Gigi both measure 6 1/2-7", with 4 1/2-5" of insertable length. The Moka is 7 3/4" long, also with 5" of insertable length, but it measures in a little bit thicker than the others. If you want to have access to all of the control buttons, there is just under 5" of insertable length. However, if you've adjusted it as much as you need to and you're settled at the vibration setting you like, you can comfortably insert it beyond the buttons to about 6 1/4". The handle widens a bit to 1 1/2". The textured plastic base is helpful in keeping a hold of the toy during play.

All of these toys are excellent for beginners or advanced users who are eager to unlock the potential of their g-spots. The Moka is not discreet in size or shape and has no locking mechanism, making it inconvenient for travel.

If you are struggling to decide between the Moka and the similar Zizo, take a look at this picture. The narrower neck of the Moka and the dramatic curve, with it's broad and pinpoint head, is far superior to the Zizo when it comes to g-spot play. They have identical strength and vibration modes, so choose depending on your preference for subtle or intense g-spot pressure.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Moka is powered by two AAA batteries, which will keep it running for approximately two hours. It explicitly states in the instruction manual that using rechargeable batteries will result in decreased vibration intensity. To insert the batteries, unscrew the base attachment by turning the vibrator counter-clockwise and placing the batteries inside according to their proper alignment, which is clearly labeled on the battery casing.

Fasten the cap by aligning the tabs (you'll notice one is slightly longer than the others) and pressing down gently and turning the vibrator clockwise. You'll know it's secure based on a muffled click. Make sure it's securely closed to ensure water-proofing. As long as it is closed properly, the toy performs well under water.

The vibrations are controlled by three buttons on the side of the toy, +, M, and -. When you have the toy inserted with the curve towards your belly button, these buttons are on the left side, with the + on top, then the M button, then the – button on the bottom. This is somewhat ungainly, depending on your natural grip. If you are right handed, it will be fairly easy for you to hold the toy and operate the controls with your left hand. If you are left-handed, you may have a bit more trouble.

In order to use your PicoBong Moka, press down the + button. This will start a steady vibration on the lowest strength, which is hardly a vibration and more of a rattle. If you click slowly through the vibrations, you'll find there are eight different levels. However, the easiest way to control the levels is holding the button down, instead of clicking. This will steadily increase the vibrations. Pressing the - button will have the reverse effect, cycling down through the various strengths. Holding the + button down firmly for one second will take you all the way up to the strongest setting, but you can release it at a lower speed whenever you please, using the - button to adjust downward as well. Each of the power levels can be used with every different pattern, making for a huge amount of customization.

Pressing the M button will cycle you through the available patterns, which are as follows:

1 - Steady vibration
2 - Slow, steady pulsing
3 - Medium, steady pulsing
4 - Fast, steady pulsing
5 - Very fast, steady pulsing
6 - Slow, escalating pulses ("One, two, three, four, fiiive!")
7 - Faster, escalating pulses coaster (See above)
8 - Slow, smooth roller coaster
9 - Faster, smooth roller coaster
10 - Escalating pulse pattern ("Lllong, short, short!" The first pulse escalates, the following are at the same strength.)
11 - Escalating pulse pattern ("Short, short, short, short short." Slight pause. Repeat. The first pulse escalates, the following are at the same strength.)
12 - Random, musical-type pattern (Sounds like it's playing a song! It's not completely random because it is the same "tune" each time.)

One more press of the "M" button loops you back to the steady vibrations, at whatever power level you had previously selected. Holding the - button down firmly for one second at any time will automatically power off the vibrations.

The toy is fairly quiet, though not quite as quiet as some of the rechargeable toys by Lelo.

Care and Maintenance

The Moka is very easy to care for, since it is smooth and waterproof. To clean your Moka, use a cleaning wipe, soap and water, toy cleaning spray, or a 10% bleach solution. Rinse and pat dry. Do not boil or place in the dish washer. Do not scrub it roughly, use alcohol-, petrol-, or acetone-based cleaners, or store in the sunlight. Remove the batteries for long-term storage.

Do not use silicone- or oil-based lubricants with your toy.

Packaging

The Moka comes in a color-coordinated cardboard box with a clear plastic window. When you slide the toy from the package, you’ll find that it is firmly inserted in a cardboard base that held it upright when it was in the box.

In order to remove it, you must open up the cardboard base, which reveals an instruction packet, a one year warranty, a small sheet of DOs and DON’Ts, and a little PicoBong charm. You have to actually unscrew the battery cap from the Moka in order to separate the two parts and free the toy from the base completely. It’s a little annoying, but it’s a one-time procedure and it’s a great way to minimize packaging waste.

The Instruction manual is succinct and very informative. It contains information about the care and keeping of your PicoBong toy in English, Spanish, German, and French. The DOs and DON’Ts are handy as well. All of the information in these documents is restated in this review. If you like, be sure to hang onto your warranty paperwork, so that you have them if anything happens to your toy.

Experience

Personally, I am completely happy with the smaller size of the Ella, which is one of my go-to dildos for intense g-spot stimulation. I like to begin with the wider handle end, with its swollen dorsal side for more subtle, broader pressure, before progressing to the hooked, pinpoint end. In that respect, the Moka is missing an important component, being that its larger size and lack of an insertable handle doesn't allow for my little warming up period. Since I've owned the Moka, I've found that I most often want to use it only after I've played with Ella for a while. The Moka is a step up in size and intensity, especially with the added stimulation of the vibrations, but it still hits all the right places. They both have merit on their own, but together, they rock! The Moka really shines for me as a finisher.
