The Fairy Mini comes with a battery pack for portability and with an AC adapter for electrical outlets. Both means of power are effective, but have very different effects. The battery pack holds 6 AA batteries and is accessed by pulling the bottom part off the top. Install the batteries on both sides and replace the bottom area. Plug the power tip into the base of the wand and you are ready to go! Rotate the wheel on the handle to set the level of vibrations you prefer.

The vibrations are a bit slower and deeper with the battery pack and last for approximately 1 1/2-2 hours of non-continuous use. This is recommended for those who like deeper vibrations and not as high speed or fast vibrations.

The AC adapter is designed for use with a wall outlet and makes the vibrations a lot faster and lighter. You can 'lose' your orgasm with the speed if you are not careful. 'Losing' the orgasm means that it can get you off and over the sensations fast enough that you may not feel the orgasm. The intense high speed makes the vibrations very buzzy and can be painful after a short period of time.

This is not a waterproof wand, using it in the shower or bath is not recommended! Especially when using the AC power cord, this can cause electrocution and death. I would also recommend storing the power sources in a plastic zip lock bag to prevent losing the cords. Storing this wand with other plastics is safe, but keep is away from the softer materials such as TPR and Silicone. They can leach the color out of the wand and also 'melt', engulfing the wand and making it nonfunctional.

Packaged in two boxes, the Fairy Miniature does not come with any instructions. Luckily, this wand is pretty self-explanatory. Inside the larger box is the wand and the battery pack power cord and the smaller box has an electrical cord.

Both boxes are pink and the wand shows through the clear window on the bigger box. This could be passed off as a muscle massager, there are no adult related pictures on the cover. There is however, a silhouette of a fairy, butterflies and bubbles. The majority of the writing is in Japanese, unless you know someone fluent at reading the language, the box is reasonably discreet.

The Fairy Mini will get hot after about 5-10 minutes at high speed when using the electrical outlet as the power source. This is prolonged by the battery pack to about 10-15 minutes. When used at medium speed, you can use it for 15-20 minutes with the electrical cord or 25-30 minutes with the battery pack. Do not use this longer than 30 minutes, even if the motor does not heat up.

When the Fairy becomes hot, shut it off and let it cool down prior to using the wand again. If you continue to use this while it is hot, you will burn the motor up and render it unusable. Eventually, the wand will not work and you will have to throw it away.

I used the AC power cord for deep tissue muscle massages and to un-knot sore, aching muscles in my shoulders and back. The vibrations were seriously powerful, but the extremely high speed and lighter, buzzier vibrations made my clitoris sore almost immediately.
