The design is simple and basic, not much to this massager. The neck can be manipulated up to an angle of 45 degrees. With experience further extension is damageable. One night, I did get a little carried away and extended the neck further than 45 degrees. In one of the groves of the neck ripped. I was able to fix this minor accident with super glue.
