Wand massager discontinued

New Best Friend

The Fairy goes from gentle vibrations to crazy out of this world jackhammer strength and everywhere between. While the Hitachi offers only power, the Fairy also offers versatility. I can't imagine anyone could possibly need more power than the Fairy can dish out. If you want power and versatility but aren't worried about discretion, than the Fairy is the vibe for you.

Use

The Fairy wand is a massager wand that is used primarily for clitoral stimulation, although there are separate attachments that can be bought to use this for penetration. It is also one of the few "personal massagers," that actually can be used as a massager. I have already gotten the Fairy Wand out just to get a back massage from my partner. That being said, it's primary job is clitoral stimulation, and boy is it good at that job. If you are looking for power (and I mean POWER,) look no further!

Material / Texture

The entire Fairy wand is made of hard pink and white plastic (trust me, the power makes up for the looks.) The pink plastic on the handle is textured to make gripping it with slippery hands easier and the pink scroll wheel is ribbed which makes turning it with slippery hands much easier. The flexible head is a similar hard plastic with a slight rubbery texture and it has five indented rings running around the sides. Although, plastic is a fairly safe material to use you can slip a condom over the head to be extra safe, or if you are sharing with non-fluid bonded partners.
    • No odor
    • Rigid

Design / Shape / Size

There are a few downsides that come with power; one of which is size. The Fairy is definitely a bulky vibe, but if you ask me it's totally worth it for the crazy strong vibrations. The large size also means you've got something substantial to hold onto, which I personally really like about the Fairy. It seems this might also be a good option for a person with arthritis who can not easily grip small objects. I personally have no need to hide my fairy because I only live with my partner but if discretion is something you are looking for, you might want to take a peek at the smaller Fairy Wands because this thing is not only big but LOUD! Because of the size and cord, I also wouldn't necessarily recommend it as a first choice for traveling but it could be done.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Fairy Wand plugs into a wall outlet and is operated by a very simple scroll wheel on the center of the handle. The scroll wheel looks exactly like the kind you would find on a computer mouse and it is ribbed for easy use with slippery hands. Just start rolling the wheel down and it will click on and then the vibrations go anywhere from a gentle vibration to CRAZY VIBRATIONS that I don't think I will ever put anywhere near my clit! Above I mentioned that size is one of the downsides to power, and another is sound. This thing is LOUD! When I say loud I mean it! Being discreet with this thing would be like trying to grind ice in a blender at 2AM without anyone hearing. If you don't want other people to hear, the Fairy should then be used in an empty house or pick a smaller quieter fairy wand, but remember the smaller the fairy, the weaker the vibrations. Because this toy plugs into a wall, it is not even a little bit water proof so no bath time with the fairy. The plus side to a corded vibe, is more power and no worrying about dead batteries.

Care and Maintenance

Because the fairy isn't waterproof, it's not the easiest toy to clean. I use the Eden brand toy cleaning wipes and that gets the job done, but a damp washcloth with a little bit of antibacterial soap will do the trick. The fairy has quite a few nooks and crannies that can be a pain in the neck to clean, but personally it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for the intense vibrations. The box it came in could be used for storage but personally, I think it takes up to much room so I just throw it in my nightstand drawer. The only part of the original packaging that I use is the twist tie to keep the cord nicely tied up, which I highly recommend doing.

Packaging

The fairy comes in a tall skinny pink box with pictures of the the vibe on two sides. The box also has a fairy silhouette in black and the word fairy along with some Asian writing (I have no clue what it says.) Inside the box, the fairy is in a plastic bag with the cord tied up with a twist tie. There are no instructions at all but it's all fairly self explanatory anyways.

Personal comments

The Fairy Wand is my new #1 go to toy. It can get the job done as fast or slow as I want; and it doubles as a back massager. In my opinion, it kicks the Hitachi's butt because of the varying speed options (the Hitachi only has hi and lo) although, I've never tried a Hitachi myself.
