Made in the traditional Rabbit form, The Silly Diver from Cal Exotics is a dildo with a vibrating clitoral arm shaped like a dolphin. The shaft has a rotating head, designed for G-spot stimulation, and rotating beads which can add sensation to either your interior walls or vaginal lips. The clitoral arms houses the bullet, which radiates vibrations through the whole toy.

Used alone for masturbation, or with a partner during foreplay, this boy will do his job. He's a great size for beginners, as long as you start slow, but has enough girth and power for most people with experience. If you are a size queen who needs a lot of vibrating power, he may take a little longer than other toys, but everyone can find a way to incorporate the diver into their orgasmic play.

Material / Texture

The insertable section of the Silly Diver is made of silicone, which rates a 10 on Edenfantasy's safety scale. With no latex or phthalates, this non-porous material is safe for just about everyone and feels fantastic. Smooth and comfortable, the Diver is soft, yet firm, with just enough flex to make him very comfortable in the bedroom.

The entire shaft is smooth, except for three ridges on the rotating head designed to help stimulate your G-spot.

As with most silicone toys, this had no odor or taste.

The base of the vibrator is hard plastic, and is easy to take care of by simply wiping with a damp cloth when it gets dirty.

Design / Shape / Size

Designed as a traditional rabbit vibrator, the Silly Diver is ten inches of mechanical wonder.

He consists of a shaft with five inches of insertable length, and includes a rotating head and spinning beads for extra stimulation. There are three ridges about an inch below the tip of the head, that add extra stimulation during insertion and when pressed against the G-spot. These ridges are not too pronounced, such as you will find on some realistic dildos, and less than a quarter inch above the actual shaft. He's not too girthy, but he's no stick figure either, coming in with an inch and a half diameter, he's thick enough to be felt, but not stretched.

The two inch clitoral arm (measured from the side closest to the shaft) is shaped like a dolphin, and instead of two "rabbit ears," he has one long dolphin nose, just over a half inch long. With this type of clitoral stimulation, it is a little different than a rabbit, as you need to pay a little more attention to placement, but once you get the hang of it, it works fantastic.

Depending on your anatomy, it may take some positioning to get him right. Depending on how I'm sitting, laying, standing, etc, sometimes he lays over my clitoris, while other times his little nose pokes against my clit, and even under my hood. The clitoral arm is somewhat bendable, so you can move him around a bit.

Functions / Performance / Controls

There are four function buttons on the Silly Diver.

The top two buttons control the head rotation and beads, which have three different levels, each one a little faster than the last. You simply push the "up" arrow, and the rotations begin. If you would like it stronger/faster, you push it again. If you want it slower, then you push the down arrow. To turn it off, you simply push the "down" arrow until it shuts off.

There are three small lights above these buttons, that correspond with the level of the rotations, meaning that if you are on the second level of rotation, two lights will be on.

There is a button below the up and down buttons, which has two arrows on it. Pushing this button switches the direction of the rotation, both of the head and the beads. The only downfall with this design, is that there is no way to have only one of these functions on at a time. If the rotation is on, so are the beads, and vise versa.

And then there are the vibrations, which have seven different functions. The bottom button controls the vibrations, and you switch between them by continuing to push the button. To shut off the vibrations, you simply hold down on the bottom button until he shuts off. This shut off will also turn off the rotations if you have them on as well.

Below this button, there are another three lights, which flash in correspondence with the vibrations.

1st setting: Standard vibration
2nd setting: Stronger vibration
3rd setting: Strongest vibration, not recommended for first time users!
4th setting: Short, rhythmic pulsating "ZZ...ZZ...ZZ"
5th setting: Escalating vibrations that become stronger
6th setting: Long, rhythmic pulsating "ZZZZZ...ZZZZZ...ZZZZZ"
7th setting: 3 Short pulses, then 1 long "ZZ...ZZ...ZZ...ZZZZZ"

As far as the vibration controls are concerned, there is no memory. So, if you need to shut if off, but want to turn it back on right away, you have to cycle back through all the settings to get to where you were. And here, I do have a little bit of trouble. I struggle to get him to shut off sometimes; when I hit the button, he just goes to the next setting. Therefore, if you play with him where you might need to shut him off in a hurry, due to roommates or children, I would suggest to practice shutting him off quickly.

Although Cal Exotics states the Diver is waterproof, I have not fully submerged him, as I don't like to put anything with batteries completely underwater. He is definitely splashproof though, and functions fantastic in the shower. Just make sure that the battery compartments is completely sealed before taking him in with you. And when you're done, take the batteries out, and wipe everything dry, just in case.

Care and Maintenance

Being made of silicone, the Silly Diver is very easy to take care of. You can either use a 10% bleach solution, antibacterial soap, or any toy cleaner to wipe this boy down. Being that he is non-porous and smooth, you won't have to worry too much about bacteria getting stuck in places.

Silicone does have a tendency to collect lint, so you may want to get in the practice of wiping him down before use as well.

Keep him away from other silicone toys, as when silicone touches, it often times melts together. And believe me, you don't want to ruin this baby!

Only use with water-based lubrications, as silicone lubes will ruin him too.

Also, I like to take the batteries out when I'm not using him, as they seem to last a lot longer that way.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

The Silly Diver is packaged in a clear plastic container, where you can see the vibrator through the front. The sides and back have pictures and descriptions of the toy. Therefore it is not descreet at all. The plastic packaging is not study and will not last for storage.
    • Not discreet
    • Recyclable

Personal comments

The Silly Diver is a very good quality toy, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a rabbit style vibrator. Although it may take a few minutes the first time to get him placed right, this boy can take you for a great ride. The vibration range allows him to be great for the little experienced and those that are more advanced.

I've been using my Hitachi solely for the last year, but the vibrations on this boy still get me off, although it does take a little longer sometimes. Overall, he really is a fantastic toy to have in anyone's toy chest.

Although I love to use him on my back, and he's very easy to thrust with, my favorite experience is to insert him, and then lay on my stomach, where I can push against the clitoral arm, and move, allowing minimal thrusting with the shaft.
Follow-up commentary
I still pull this boy out once in awhile. The vibrations aren't as strong as I like, so if I just want to get off quick, this isn't my first choice. But if I want to play and take sometime to myself, he does the trick! Great for those that like penetration, and don't need strong clitoral stimulation.
