Pocket wand by Shaki Toys - review by systematicweasel

The Russian Torpedo is an immense dud. Also known as the Pocket Wand, this little vibrating toy is supposed to make you happy daily. This is a pretty mediocre product. I felt the vibes were too weak and the noise level was too much. The noise of the vibrator became really annoying during use because of its noise level; it made it hard to really like the toy.

This not-so-smooth vibe is made of plastic, and is easily damageable if you're not careful. It's safety features include: Food-grade material / Latex free / Phthalates free / Hypo-allergenic. It is 6 inches in length and is not waterproof. The Russian Torpedo takes 2 AA batteries. Cleaning with other toy cleaners is easy and it worked well with the System JO H2O lubricant, though I have not tried any other type of lube with it.

The Russian Torpedo is supposed to pull apart easily to insert the batteries, however, I had the hardest time trying to open it I nearly gave up. After finally wrenching it open I looked at the package, since it does not come with instructions, to see how to place the batteries. The package is wrong, and you are left putting in the batteries a billion different ways before even getting it to turn on. Another issue was closing the toy, as it just does not twist on and off, the batteries were almost literally keeping this vibe apart. By the time you get through the whole mess of assembling the product, you are practically ready to go with another toy.

The vibe on the Russian Torpedo is mostly centered on the thickest end, which taking apart the vibe, is the shortest end above the crack where you pull it apart. Using lube makes this product difficult to turn on and off, so if you ever need to switch it off quickly, you will most likely have some trouble.

You get the most powerful vibes at the motor end, which can get pretty warm after some time of usage. I find that a bit uncomfortable, though I have not been injured by that warming feel.

One thing I found really terrible about this product is the area where the toy comes apart. When put together that area can and will scratch you during use. For a vibe that is supposed to be smooth, that specific area is anything but.

All in all, this is just a bad vibe. There are many other products that can do the job so much better than The Russian Torpedo, and I suggest looking at those products before nabbing this one.
