Zook is Z'okay by Me!

The design of the Zook is so impressive -- except where obvious corners were cut. Likely, the biggest flaw is just that the second motor is not located in the arm itself. However, the Zook still rates 4 vrooms and the otherwise great design in terms of material, rechargeability and shape makes me happy this one's on my shelf.

Use

The Zook is a discreetly-shaped rabbit vibrator with a non-animal clitoral arm from the Korean line, Zini. Zini is known for their classy designs (so far, plant-themed) and luxury packaging.

The Zook has but one use: G-spot and clitoral vibrator. The Zook boasts an ergonomic G-spot bulge and a flexible clitoral arm; 2 motors are present, but not individually controllable. Since the Zook has been thoughtfully and specifically designed for vaginal pleasure, it limits its other uses. The Zook will not functional well as a non-sexual massager or an external clitoral vibrator.

Great for...me-time:
I found its ability for thrusting a bit impaired due to the exaggerated bulb, but rotating the shaft manually and rocking with it was heavenly. I found that it was much easier to control myself, since the fine-tuned movements are key to being pleased with the feel of the Zook.

The Vrooms and the Bees:
The Zook is a relatively small rabbit vibrator (see measurements below), which may be a pro or a con. Certainly, it's not going to please size-queens. Additionally, the Zook will not please ladies that desire high vibrational power, as it rates four vrooms only on the highest setting, which is the only time both motors can be activated. Luckily, the Zook is incredibly quiet, which makes it perfect for those with housemates.

I'm sorry to say the Zook doesn't blow my mind, but it's a good first rabbit or a foray into the luxury toys -- because the silicone is truly top-notch. For the price, I'd also expect a waterproof toy. However, the Zook is only splashproof as its charging port is protected only by a flimsy flap.

Material / Texture

When I opened up the luxurious packaging, Zook was tasteless, scentless and ready to go. I'm in love with the matte, velvety silicone of the Zook, which is just gorgeous. It's soft but not squishy; in fact, the entire toy, except the clitoral arm, cannot be flexed. Unlike other silicone toys, it does not attract too much lint and hair. Not at all.

Clitoral arm texture

The bulb of the G-spotting main arm is tapered for easy insertion and makes me purr. The ridge at the end is perfect for extra cervical stimulation.

Other than that, the Zook doesn't boast any swirls, nubs or waves. This makes Zook great for beginners, and deliciously slick.

The Zook is a dual-material toy, which I find so visually pleasing -- however, this always makes them non-waterproof and the seams can be a big turn-off.

Design / Shape / Size

I love the aesthetic of the Zini line. The control panel is supposed to be like a seed pod, from which the colored part grows like a plant. The best and most infamous feature of the Zini line is the very pretty LED light show.

As I mentioned, the clitoral arm is decently flexible. Unlike other clitoral arms, I find that this one doesn't overshoot my clitoris, so the stimulation was fairly focused. The flexibility also aids with any rocking motions, if you need movement to get off.

Unfortunately, there were a number of problems with the design of the Zook. I was sure to give the Zook many chances before reviewing, but I noticed the same thing -- Zook has a way of dampening my orgasms because it doesn't stimulate me enough. I think this is because the Zook has a decent-sized bulb, but not enough to really 'stretch'; the neck is very narrow, which doesn't irritate the vaginal entrance but at the same time, doesn't stimulate either.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Zook is so easy to use! I love the 3-button control panel, which allows you find the function rather than cycle. To turn on, merely press the + button. This is automatically go to the steady vibration levels, of which there are:
1. Low, steady. 2 vrooms and an astonishing less than 1 bee.
2. Low-medium, steady.
3. Medium, steady.
4. Medium-high, steady. About 3 vrooms.
5.* High, steady; both motors are active. 4 vrooms, 2 bees.

The Flaw
Despite complaints, the Zook does have 2 motors; but they're only both active when the Zook is on the highest power level. This is a disappointing flaw, as a rabbit with no thrusting stimulation badly needs a high-powered clitoral arm. Additionally, the motor is located below the clitoral arm, rather than inside the arm itself. It's good that on the highest level, the Zook rates 4 vrooms, but I can't overlook this flaw.

Zini does a good job of making a toy that won't give you a tingly hand -- except at the very bottom, oddly enough. The middle of the control panel, however, feels almost completely 'silent'.

Buzzy or Rumbly?
Some might say the Zook feels weaker than 4 vrooms, but the frequency of the Zook is fairly low, which contributes to how quiet it is. Only the high level is buzzy; the rest are satisfyingly rumbly.

Activate the patterns button by hitting the middle button, with a circle on it.
Zook's schtick is that you can remember a color along with your favorite sensation and that there is such an abundance of patterns, you'll never get bored.
Vibrational Patterns and Colors
1. Wave, white color.
2. Fast wave, green.
3. Pulse, light blue.
4. Fast wave with clitoral arm pulse, yellow green.
5. Alternating pulse with the clitoral arm, red.
6. Revving, yellow.
7. 2 quick pulses with main arm wave, dark green.
8. Slow escalate, orange.
9. Stutter, light green.
...oh my gosh, there are more. Surely there's something for everyone!

To turn off, get out of function mode by hitting circle button again and lowering the power with the - button until the Zook shuts off. This may irritate those who want a quick on/off feature.

Care and Maintenance

The 100% silicone of the Zook is so nice -- it's easy to clean, non-porous and compatible with water-based lubes and some premium silicone lubes (a patch test is always recommended). I pay attention to the narrow area between the main arm and the clitoral arm, but I find warm soap and water totally sufficient.

Keep in mind that the charging port is covered only by a silicone flap. It says 'ZINI' on the flap, but it will not protect the toy from complete submersion.

I never boil or immerse the Zook, as this will harm the electronics. However, you could wipe down the Zook with a 10% bleach solution.

I was extremely pleased to find that despite somewhat long sessions with the Zook (30 minutes), the battery has great life! I also left it out for two weeks without any charging and it doesn't just 'die' on its own. When it does need to be charged, the Zook charges fast, just 1.5 hours and you're ready to go.

Packaging

Zini makes an effort with their packaging, which I respect. Their packaging is very classy, very luxe -- an entirely black box, with some hatching texture. 'Zini' is written in silver. Zook was located in the top, in its own molded plastic insert which keeps it very secure. This top portion almost displays the toy, and I think it looks fantastic.

If you lift up the top, it reveals a 'secret' compartment where the charger, travel bag and manual can be kept. This packaging is definitely a keeper and I can't think of a better way to store the Zook.

Follow-up commentary
When I first got the Zook, I used it just about everyday -- and I miss when I don't use it! True, the vibrations could be stronger or simply placed in the clitoral arm, but I've got it bad for the Zook despite these flaws!

I'm pleased by its sleek and pretty design whenever I see it, too. I'm glad this one's in my collection!
