The mood naughty large plug is most likely to be used by a single person (or a couple) who isn't completely new to anal play. If you are new to anal play, stop reading this review, and go check out the mood naughty small plug. Due to the silicone material of the naughty large, this plug can have a slight drag to it, which coupled with its size might also discourage beginners. However, this plug may not satisfy extremely experienced users either, as there are several other anal plugs with more girth that are just as easily sterilized. This plug can be used for a double penetration experience, and it stays in rather well. Finally, this plug is a good travel companion...it takes up relatively little space, and it's silent. Unlike some of the vibrating plugs, you don't need to worry about accidentally turning this on. This may also give you a chance to wear it unnoticed outside of the house.

I prefer glass or silicone anal toys. There is just a certain level of hygiene that is so easily maintained with these materials. That being said, the mood naughty large plug is made of silicone. This means that this toy can be sterilized, and it is also latex and phthalate-free. Another idea is to take advantage of the ability of this material to hold heat and to soak your plug in warm water before use. This plug also has no smell or taste. It is described as having a "velvet touch." Finally, the plug is firm, yet it is also flexible. This may encourage some buyers in comparison to the glass plugs, which have no give whatsoever.

Obviously, the widest part of this plug is the base. The base is curved into a slight U-shape, which allows it to sit snugly against the skin. Yet the base is wide enough to not worry about. It does, however, make it slightly difficult to get a grip on the base to remove the toy. The shape of this plug somewhat reminds me of a carrot. In my opinion, this is a simple and low-maintenance plug, so I wouldn't change it. However, I don't expect it to be exciting enough for more advanced sex toy consumers.

On the one hand, I find it hard to look at this plug and to be excited. After all, I've had vibrating plugs, and whimsical plugs, and oh you get the point! On the other hand, if I look at this design and ask myself if the function of the toy fits the design of the toy, it does. There is not some big idea here that goes wrong in execution. This is just a relatively vanilla design for a plug, but that's perfectly fine since it isn't marketed as anything else!

The back of the box has a little checklist for the mood line of toys. This plug has several marks in the cleaning section: soap water, dishwasher safe, boil safe. I notice that there is not a recommendation to use a bleach solution with this. On the lubricant checklist, water-based and oil-based are approved. Eden only shows water-based as being compatible, but with something waterproof like this, a water-based lube cancels out shower play. It's good to have the alternative option of oil-based be given the thumbs up by Doc Johnson.

When storing, never store silicone next to other silicone. Also, do not store this item in with any kind of silicone lubricant...if it leaks, it can damage this plug. Right now, I store mine directly in the box, but I am basically out of room at this point. Eventually, I see myself storing this in a Ziploc baggie unless someone else has a better suggestion.

The packaging for the mood naughty large plug is black with a polka-dot background. It's really a cute design. However, it's also really helpful in that the product is visible through the package. I also think that the system on the back is really useful. Having four sections (features, material, cleaning, and lubricant) really makes comparing items from this line easy. It's also a quick guide, unlike an instruction manual (which might have 6 different languages on it).
