Mood naughty large plug - small butt plug by Doc Johnson - review by AmethystQueen

The Mood Naughty is intended for use anally as a butt plug. You stick the plug into yourself and leave it there for a certain amount of time. Since the plug is made of silicone, you can also use it vaginally AFTER sterilizing it. It is not advised to use the plug anally and then vaginally in the same session without proper cleaning.

This plug can be used by anyone.

Couples would have fun using this plug together, as it can be highly arousing to insert the plug into your partner. For those who are alone during playtime, this plug is perfect for solo play.

The plug is very safe to use anally due to the flared base and is very comfortable to wear because the base fits easily between the butt cheeks.

I would advise caution when thrusting, as the tip of this plug is a bit pointy. While it aids in insertion, it could feel uncomfortably poky once inside.

This plug is made of silicone, which is easy to clean but takes a little more attention in storage. Silicone feels smooth and usually doesn't have much of a smell, if it's high quality and not mixed with any other material. Silicone also doesn't play well together, so if you have other silicone toys, it's best to keep them apart from each other. You may find less than optimal results when stored with another silicone toy.

The Mood Naughty is not made to mimic a male's sexual part, but does look similar to other plugs.



The silicone does have a bit of give to it, especially at the neck and tip. The neck bends simply because it's the most narrow part of the plug. It doesn't interfere with insertion or taking the plug back out. The flex at the tip isn't noticeable while inserted.

Since there is no texture, all you have to be concerned about is size. Since this is Mood Naughty's Large size, I wouldn't suggest using this if you're a beginner.

I LOVE the design of the Mood Naughty Large! It's just about perfect. My most important part of a plug is the base and this base gets it right! It's wide enough to keep the plug from disappearing inside you AND thin enough to not get in the way when sitting, walking around, or even running!



I'm not sure why, but the base itself is tapered. There is a wide end and a skinnier end. When I wore it, the skinny end was towards the back of me and the wider end was towards the front. I could use the bathroom without the wide end getting in the way at all. I haven't figure out why it's tapered, but maybe you all can come up with a reason and let me know in the comments.

As I mentioned before, the tip is a bit skinny, which makes for great a great, graduated entrance, but once in, poked me a bit more than I cared for. I guess this would have to have a more blunt tip to be my perfect plug.

There are two seams (one on either side of the plug), but they are covered over in more silicone so you don't feel the edge when playing with the plug. You can feel a slight bump when you run your hand over the seam, but that's it.

The Doc Johnson name is printed and raised on the bottom of the plug handle. You won't be able to feel it when inserted as it will be facing away from you. Your partner may feel it, but I highly doubt it will get in the way.





This is not a beginner's toy as the toy gets pretty large at the widest part, but I also wouldn't call it an advanced toy. For those of us in the middle, this satisfies pretty good!

This toy is not discreet, as you'll probably not be able to pass it off as anything else than an insertable piece. However, it is small enough to hide within your folded clothes (provided you're not careless and just whip the clothes out so it falls out on the floor).

This plug was my first non-vibrating butt plug. I bought it intentionally to wear for an extended amount of time. Well, this plug didn't disappoint!

When I first started wearing it, it did seem a bit poky so I had to sit a certain way (I wore it primarily at the computer). After a while, either I found a better position, got used to the poking, or shifted the plug enough inside that I didn't feel any poking any more.

While the hours ticked away, I got up and handled things at home. I was so happy that no one could tell that I had a butt plug in! I wore it under my regular clothing and nothing showed through! The base was nestled safely deep between my cheeks.

I found when I got up and sat down again, I was aware of the base and bulb end of the plug rubbing against me, but it wasn't uncomfortable. I came to like and enjoy it actually.

My only downer is that while it was in there for such a long time, the plug didn't come fully clean even after repeated washings.

You can place this toy in the top rack of your dishwasher, use plain 'ole soap and water, a toy cleaning spray, a toy wipe, regular baby wipes, or you can boil it to clean it after use.

As with any silicone toy, you can store this in a plastic bag, back in the original cardboard and plastic packaging, by itself in a drawer, or in a separate sack. Just make sure you don't store it next to (as in touching) another silicone toy. I do believe they will end up sticking to each other if not taken out quite frequently and used.

Similarly, you shouldn't use silicone lube on this toy just to make sure nothing sticks to it and can't come off. Water-based or oil-based lube are perfect to use with this toy.

I had a bit of a problem getting the smell off of it after my first extended wear experiment (6 hours). Because of that, I will add hard to clean and high maintenance tags to this section. If you're going to use it minimally or for shorter periods of time, you should be fine with the regular cleaning methods.

I LOVE this packaging! Doc Johnson gives you all the care and maintenance information right on the box. They also show off the product nicely with one side of the box being dropped lower for a better view (way to go, Doc!)

The box is basic cardboard with a see-through plastic tray that slides out of the cardboard. That tray can be used again for storage after the toy is properly cleaned ad dried.

The box is eye-catching not only because of the bold, bright colors on the front and back, but also due to the gloss black and matte black designs. The box looks trendy and hip and makes me feel like I'm with the "in crowd" just for getting it. It would make a wonderful gift box for someone.

The only thing missing are instructions, but you don't really need much for a butt plug. Just aim and insert.

In spite of my ill-fated first time use, I do love this plug. I hope I won't have to replace it, but I most gladly will as I have just GOT to have this in my collection.

I loved the sensations it gave me and found I just HAD to finish myself off with the Joy Pad and further finishing with the Hitachi. I didn't feel more aroused when wearing it, but I did want to finish myself off after wearing it for so long. I guess it was just a mental thing, but it does do that trick of getting me in the mood.



When compared to my other plug, the Booty Call Booty Rockets, I see why I felt it was poky. I didn't wear my Booty Call for that long though, as you can't sit down with it without turning the vibrations on and off or feeling so uncomfortable from having the controls sticking out while you try to sit and move around. The Booty Call is definitely more of a partner or solo toy for a short time in a session. The Mood Naughty Large is definitely the toy you want to take out in public. It'll be your little secret!

I'm giving this toy a 4 out of 5 stars because of my little problem after long-term wear. If I find it was all my fault (which I'm suspecting), I'll restore the last star, letting everyone know of this plug's stellar quality.

This is the section I've been dreading to write about. I'm afraid I'll give too much information (TMI) and gross someone out (please forgive me if I do), and afraid to show my incompetence. For the sake of this review being complete, however, I will press on.

As mentioned, I wore this for an extended period of time (6 hours). It was very comfortable and as I got used to it, I made sure to move around just a bit extra for those little sensations (I actually loved riding that base!).

In all that movement, however, I must have jiggled something loose because my plug came out with...company. In trying to clean the company off the plug, the plug did a very good job of coming completely free from unwanted "company". However, I was left with a lingering reminder of just what type of company graced my new plug. I tried washing with soap and water again



I tried bleaching it (not recommended on the box and therefore not mentioned in my care/maintenance section, but I heard it's doable and I was desperate):



I even applied a baking soda and water paste to combat any lingering odors:



About the only thing I didn't do was boil the thing. I'm also contemplating boiling it with bleach in the water, but haven't done that yet in case it's a bit too drastic. I hope I can't destroy the coloring or smooth feel of the plug by subjecting it to all this misery.
