This was the second light bondage kit I've purchased, and probably the last one I'll ever need to. If you're looking for something with enough holding power to fulfill those dark fantasies, then this is the set for you. Because of the way the straps lay out beneath the mattress, you can use this kit with just about any type or size of mattress. This is the perfect set for someone who wants to play a little rough without having to convert a bedroom into a dungeon!

The cuffs are soft and lightly padded; just enough to keep from chafing and to encourage prolonged play without being too "wimpy". These would probably be great for someone who wants to play with bondage, but not want everyone at work to know about it the next day. No marks, but plenty of memories!

The clips make this an "easy in, easy out" process, providing you're not the one being tied down. Because the straps under the mattress don't attach to anything, it also makes this a versatile set, as far as how you position the straps and therefore the restraints themselves.

The velcro is strong and bears the weight of struggle and straining without popping open or pulling apart. However, you can get someone out at a moment's notice, should it be required.

The parts that actually goes under the mattress are adjustable nylon straps, like the kind they put on backpacks, but much softer! They're thick and sturdy and look like they're likely to fit any type or size of bed with a little trial and error.

The overall experience with the restraint system is great. They're comfortable for the one wearing them, and that offers a measure of peace to the one in control, since they can be a little wild with their partner and not fear causing undue damage.

They provide gentle restraint with a firm hold and depending on how tightly you tighten the straps around and under the mattress, you can decide how much movement is allowed for the tied down partner.

We used these off and on for several months before we took the straps off the bed and, even with extended use and playtime, they held up to the strain well.

Because the straps are lightweight and easy to conceal between the mattress and boxspring, there's no real clean up involved, and I get the impression that you could easily wipe or wash off any sections that may get a little messy during playtime.

There's very little to this restraint system in all reality, so it makes it a breeze to "clean up". If you're leaving them on the bed, just unclip the cuffs and set them in a drawer somewhere. Otherwise, I'd recommend tucking the cuffs (still attached to the straps) under the mattress entirely. The jump rings and clips are metal and not fun to step on in the middle of the night with bare feet!

If you're not going to store them on the bed, you can easily bunch these up and stuff them in a box somewhere. It takes absolutely no effort to straighten them back out and there's virtually no untangling involved.

When I purchased these, it was packaged in one of those plastic clamshell cases, with the paper inserts. The pictures were of the vague "cheap romance novel" variety, but the instructions on how to lay out the straps were decent. There's not really much to explain with this kit. It's fairly obvious how it all goes together, and with a couple minutes of looking at it and a little common sense, you almost don't even need the packaging.

I will warn you, it's not one of those spur of the moment, "Hey let's tie each other down" sorts of deals, unless you leave it on the bed all the time.

My only complaint? That the cuffs don't come in different colors. I think it would be very nice to accessorize with the mood at hand (or whatever one happens to be wearing that evening), but because of the way the system is designed, any set of cuffs with clips should be able to work with these straps.

When we first brought this kit home, it took us about half an hour to get everything laid out and the mattress back in place. It seemed to work better once I took the bedskirt off the boxspring. We put it on and ended up leaving it there for quite a long time. (We only took it off because we were moving and didn't want our respective parents to die of shock when they helped us load the truck!)
