When I first opened the package for these restraints, I was a little surprised; they reminded me of the tow-straps that come in a car-emergency kit. Once I figured out what was heads or tails, I flipped up my mattress to lay them out, I was happy to see that they fit my twin-sized bed quite well. There's a lot of excess strap around the cuffs, but that's not really a problem, it makes the cuffs easier to find when they fall beside my bed. When I inspected the hardware further, it looked really flimsy to me, but once my boyfriend and I gave them a try, I was very very pleasantly surprised to find that they held up not only to my struggling, but to his. I'm a little girl (5'1), but I'm also really strong, so I'm glad all four straps held up to my standards, but I was shocked when they held up to some serious serious struggling (in a good way) from my boyfriend who is a mechanic and lifts tires all day.

The straps are made of neoprene and nylon, very similar to what you would find in a backpack strap and the strap length is adjusted exactly like a backpack strap. The cuffs are a thin, fuzzy material that feels really nice against bare skin and vaguely reminds me of short puppy-fur. The Velcro used on the cuffs is an inch wide and accommodate about 13.5 inches interior circumference when there's only 1 inch of Velcro used, and the smallest size can accommodate about 8 inch interior circumference when you overlap 1.5 inches of the cuff (although I'm pretty sure they can go smaller). So basically, these cuffs will fit a very broad range of sizes, however, as is the problem with all Velcro items, it's getting them to fit comfortably without having to do and redo the cuff about a million times. As I said before, at first, the hardware seems a little flimsy, especially where the cuffs attach to the straps. They are two key-rings attached by a spring leash-clip, while that's nice for the ability to shift and rotate the cuffs whenever you want, and it makes storage easy, I'm most likely going to replace those in the somewhat-near-future. If you want something light, fun, and affordable, these are the perfect starter set.

Despite the questionable hardware and the fact that I'm going to replace the cuffs pretty soon, this is by far the best investment I've made in my sex life since Trojan came out with Ecstasy condoms. As a college student, I need something that can discretely travel with me as I switch dorms and apartments and constantly pack up my life and move it somewhere else. I was thrilled with this set because I sleep on a tiny twin-sized bed with no headboard or foot-board, so traditional restraint sets were out of the question. If you have the small bed problem I have (like a dorm's famous twin-extra-long) the Under the Bed Restraint System is perfect. You can just unhook the cuffs and hide them in your sock drawer and tuck the straps away under your mattress and your roommates will never know.

These straps are very versatile and can be used/combined with as many toys and positions as you can think of. I highly suggest a blindfold or some edible body paints if you want a playful weekend with your partner, or you can throw in a vibrator or any other toys if you want a little more arousing fun.
