The Under the Bed Restraint System by Sportsheets is an excellent beginner's set that will allow you to drive your partner wild and add variety to your love-making. This system is not going to allow you to completely restrain and dominate your partner, however it is perfect for those just getting into restraint-play or those looking for a discreet way to restrain and play with your partner.

The design of this restraint system is very straight-forward: it comes with 4 cuffs that are all the same size and nylon straps that go under your mattress.

The cuffs are nylon double-stitched onto a faux fur padding that is very soft and feels pleasant when worn. Each cuff is approximately 10 inches long with a 5-inch strip of Velcro that is used to secure it. The only issue we have had with the Velcro is, when we use it on my wife’s wrists, there is quite a bit that is left over and is left dangling. While this extra amount is the soft side of the Velcro and doesn’t actually get in the way of anything, I find myself wishing there was some way to secure this or tuck it away. However this is a minor issue that I’m sure people who are less anal about things won’t mind at all.

The cuffs also have a slightly larger-than-normal key ring with a swivel-clip attached to them that is used to attach the cuffs to the nylon straps under the mattress. Both the key ring and the clips are sturdy enough to get the job done and would be easy enough to replace if they were to ever get damaged.

The nylon straps that go under your mattress consist of a 60” long strap with D rings on each side that connect to the cuff straps. Each cuff strap has a key ring (same type that is on the cuffs, themselves) that the cuff clip attaches to. Each strap of nylon is easily adjustable when setting up the system. The adjustments for the cuff straps are right at the cuff end which allows for easy adjustments while getting your partner restrained.

This product was our first foray into using actual restraints, and it functions exactly as advertised. An added bonus that we have found is that you can clip the cuffs to each other, which has allowed for additional use as a makeshift handcuff system that we use when transitioning between positions or moving throughout the house. I have to say that both my wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed being on both sides of the restraints, and this is, by far, the most used “toy” that we own.
