Don't try to fight it.

As is, this is definitely for either very weak people or people who are not going to really fight their bonds. It is fun for some role play, and you can enjoy the sensation of being somewhat restrained. The cuffs are wide, plush, and velcro, meaning they're relatively comfortable, which is a good thing, but the velcro also means that any real pulling on them is just going to open them right up.

Or yank the hook off, which is what happened the last time we tried to use the original cuffs. The hook is just joined by a split ring (think keychain ring), which is pretty sturdy until you apply the strength of a full grown man... Don't ask me how he separated the ring before the velcro gave way, because I don't know. It must have just been a fluke of angles and force.

The under-the-bed portion was very well designed. The material is sort of like seat-belt type weave nylon, and that part is pretty strong. It's adjustable to your bed size with cinches, making it easy to adjust after it's in place. The only part I didn't like about the under-the-bed portion was those rings again. The ones on the bed side didn't come undone, but I would rather see something a little thicker for heavier play.

The cuffs, honestly, I didn't like very much at all. Other than being fairly comfortable and well-sized for my wrists, too much pulling undid the velcro, too much squirming got it caught on the sheets, and really it was almost a little too comfortable for my taste. After the hook broke on one of the cuffs, we ended up replacing them with some cinch-style we found in a local shop. I don't think it was poorly made, per-se, it was just not intended for serious struggling, which is probably more of a safety feature for less intense players than anything else.

Another note on design, under-the-bed restraints are very good for people with children or vanilla house guests. You can easily and quickly tuck the leads under the mattress until the next time, and since the cuffs unhook, you can store them in a drawer.

The product didn't work as-is for what we wanted to use it for. After replacing the cuffs, everything worked great. Once again, the leads work wonderfully and the material/weave they're made with is great, but the velcro just didn't work for me. Even after having to replace the cuffs, I still feel like it was a good buy, just to have the under the bed system in place for any other things we may need to attach.

You can also use it for rope-play if you get creative and literally tie your partner down to the bed. That was pretty fun...

We have talked about using this as a restraint with a sturdy door, although we haven't tried it yet as none of the doors in our home seem adequate for this purpose.

You can also detach the cuffs and link them to one another to have feet restrained together, or arms behind the back with an easy release. We do still use the other cuffs for this purpose occasionally.

Other than cleaning the cuffs off after every use, and making sure that the leads are tucked under the mattress when we're done, pretty much the only other thing we do to take care of this is washing it when we wash our sheets. It's not a very high-maintenance tool.

The packaging is not very discreet. There's a picture of a pretty angry-looking girl in her underwear making a duckface while loosely bound on a blister package. It takes a pretty special kind of person to not know what that's all about. The directions on the back were more than enough to figure out what you're supposed to do, but there's a nice little diagram to show you what it's supposed to look like.

I would buy this tool again. It gets more use in our home than probably any other tool. My suggestion to someone considering this tool would be to go ahead and look at other cuffs, as well. It may work for what you're trying to do, but if you're wanting something hardcore, you'll need to accommodate.

The first time we used this, I (female) was the one who got tied down. He used it along with a blindfold to play around and have his fun, and then when it was time to get down to business, he would unhook one leg or another to use different positions without releasing me. The only problem was that the velcro on my arms came undone about 3 times during our fun.

After that, we used it several other times along with ice/snow or wax. It helped remind/encourage me to stay still. The cuffs were fairly comfortable, although after that first time playing rough, we pretty much agreed it was not a heavy-duty toy, so I didn't resist it as much as I might have, which kind of took away a bit from the experience of being bound for me.

The first time (and only time) he let me restrain him, he got a little too excited and, instead of just pulling the velcro like I had, either he had a weird angle or he just moved too quickly, forgetting our previous deal about not being too rough with these cuffs, and *pop* off comes the hook. We had a good laugh about it and later purchased new cuffs to use with the restraint system.
