The Wartenberg Pinweel by Kinklab is the one that I received despite buying the one from the Stockroom. The Kinklab one comes with a sheath and was a couple dollars more, but was discontinued. Much to my surprise, I opened my box from Eden and there is was. I have seen this happening with some other similar products for some people but I don't mind. I read reviews for each of them when the Kinklab one was still available and they seemed to be exactly the same except that one came with the sheath and the other one did not. Therefore, when purchasing this, keep in mind that yours may not come with a sheath because mine was the Kinklab, not the Stockroom. However, I purchased it as a buyout and must write a review, so, here goes!

The wartenberg wheel was used to test sensitivity apparently, but I don't know a whole lot about it. I thought it looked awesome and fun and would add to our bdsm play. My partner has been mentioning doing some things blindfolded recently, so I thought this would really add to that. I also really like pain during sex, so I thought applying pressure with this would be an interesting new way to get some pain involved. It is a unique product different from anything else available on Eden.

The Wartenberg Pinwheel is very small at only about 7" in its full length. It features a nice handle with ridges that would make it easier to grip when lube is involved. However, it would still definitely get slippery and would need to be used with caution, especially if blood being drawn is a hard limit for you or your partner.

The wheel itself is only 1.25" in diameter including the .25" spokes. These are very thin and have sharp, pointed ends that could draw blood if enough pressure was applied. For this reason, stay away from sensitive areas like wrists that could lead to dangerous situations.

It is made of an unidentified metal and has no smell, though the sheath smells weird. However, the Stockroom version does not come with a sheath from my understanding, so I'm not going to go into details about the sheath anyway.

It's well made and I don't think the wheel will come off. If this was sitting out, it could lead to some questions. However, you could probably call it a pizza cutter if the person who asks is a kid or someone who doesn't know anything about kitchen tools. If you're a science person, you could say it's equipment for a research experiment. After all, it used to be.

This product is really interesting and I was totally new to this. I had never heard of these before they were available on Eden. My partner and I both really like the sensation it provides and are enthusiastic about incorporating it into our play. It is so simple, yet so brilliant.

This is metal, so it could be cleaned with soap and water or sterilized if you dry it properly afterward so as to avoid rust that would make it unsafe to use. It could also be wiped down with Eden wipes or even some rubbing alcohol to help kill germs when switching partners.

It could be potentially difficult to store since it can get caught on things or tear stuff. I would not put this in the same drawer as your lingerie or costumes unless you have a sheath or other good storage device to use with it. The spokes could easily catch onto something and rip it.

According to the package, the parts are both from the US and imported but it was assembled and designed in the US. It also has a description of the item in several non-English languages.

I had to cut open the package and completely destroy it to open it. I thought the top would just pop off but boy was I wrong. It took me quite a while to open. Since the package needed to be destroyed, it really would not work for storage.

Again, I received the Kinklab one, not the Stockroom one, despite ordering the Stockroom one since the Kinklab was already discontinued when I made my purchase. Therefore, the packaging is likely different for the Stockroom wheel.
