These cuffs are best suited for beginners due to the easy release switch, the fact that the chain is not welded shut, and the sweet pink padding. That being said, these would be a great choice for users of any level, assuming that you don't get too rough with them. They're just not going to hold up to rough play, as the chain would likely snap apart if you (or your partner) really struggled against them. More advanced users will appreciate the fact that the pink padding is removable, so you can make these into just a standard pair of toy cuffs, if you choose to.

I own many different styles of cuffs, but these are one of my favorite pairs. I purchased these primarily because they have an easy release switch, and I will be traveling with them. I wanted to ensure that my "travel handcuffs" had an easy release, just in case I happened to misplace the key.

Now, how can you use these? My favorite way to use these is to simply have my partner cuff my hands between my back during our play sessions. I adore the fact that I have the ability to release myself, should anything go wrong, while still getting the feeling of him being in control.

You could also cuff your partners hands in front of them, or weave the cuffs through panels on your head board in order to restrain your partner to the bed.

These cuffs are meant specifically for your wrists. They might fit okay on some individuals ankles, but for most people these are going to be too small to function as ankle cuffs.

The cuffs themselves are made out of some type of metal. Metal is a very safe material, earning a rating of 9 on Eden Fantasy's safety scale.

The metal on these cuffs is smooth, shiny, and strong. It feels quite durable, though I do feel that the metal will get scratched easily. The scratches should not impact their use, so I'm not too concerned about that. The edges on the metal are slightly rough, but not enough to do any damage to the wearers skin unless they're on too tightly.

The chain on these cuffs consists of 8 little links. It measures 2", with the overall length of the cuffs is just under 10". The actual opening on cuffs themselves measures 2" in diameter on the shortest setting, and 2 3/4" at the widest setting. The cuffs will fit many individuals, but they're probably not best for those with large wrists. My wrists are very slim, and these fit me great.

The great thing about this pair of cuffs is that you can open them with a key, or you can open them with the safety release latch. I love that this has a latch, as the keys are small and fairly easy to use. That being said, I find that the safety release latch can stick sometimes, which can be frustrating. I can easily release the safety latch if I have the cuffs in front of me, but I find it much more difficult to do with my hands cuffed behind my back.

Now.. the fur portion. The pink fur padding is basically a little tube with fake fur on the outside. The fur tube slides on, and off, of the cuffs with ease.Personally, I think the fur is cute, but it sheds too much for me to enjoy it. I don't enjoy seeing pink fur all over my bedroom after a night excitement -- who needs the mess?

I also don't feel like the fur provided much padding at all. It does add some softness to the cuffs, however.

Honestly, I was expecting these to be cheaply made. I imagined them standing up to a few uses, and then ending up in the trash. Okay, the fur covering DID end up in the trash due to how much it sheds, but the cuffs? The cuffs are great, and I'm happy to have them in my collection.

I find that the cuffs serve their purpose well. That being said, my partner and I don't engage in anything that has me struggling against the cuffs. If you (or your partner) tend to struggle a lot, you're probably going to want to find stronger cuffs.

I rarely find that these need to be cleaned, but cleaning is easily done by simply wiping the metal portion off with a toy cleaner wipe. As for the fur sleeves? I would recommend hand washing them, due to how much they shed. I can't state how they hold up to washing, however, as I have thrown them away.
