Pink and Painful

These handcuffs are a cute looking toy that I think is good for role-play. However, they are very small and can be quite painful, so I do not think they make a good toy to restrain your partner. I recommend this product for light play where aesthetics are involved. I would say avoid this toy if you actually want to tie your partner up

Use

These are pink handcuffs that have a pink faux fur lining. I am sure everyone is familiar with the point of handcuffs. To restrain a person. There is something to note about these handcuffs. These clearly are not real handcuffs used by the police, but handcuffs made to subdue a person. This is done by physically restraining them, but also by causing discomfort and pain. Handcuffs are not meant to be comfortable. Furthermore, these handcuffs are very small, but I will discuss that later in the review.

These look like a beginner toy because of the cute fur, and I think they could be. These handcuffs are impossible to lock (nice safety feature) and they do have a nice aesthetic appeal to them. As I said, they can be quite painful. So although I would say a beginner could use them I would not suggest them for someone who cringes at all with pain. I will say the toy is not intimidating, so they could be used as a decent introduction to light bondage. I personally would start with rope bondage. It is cheap and causes less discomfort. But that is just a personal opinion.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

These toys are of decent quality. The best part of this toy, in my opinion, is the faux fur. It is nice and soft and a nice colour. I very much enjoy that part of the toy. The metal is fine. It is not very shiny and seems very basic, but I do not really know what else you would expect. The handcuffs "lock" decently well. While sliding in and locking, it tends to not be perfectly smooth, but I have never actually had a problem getting them to close.

The real problem with this toy is the size. I am a 6 foot tall, 170 pound male. So I am fairly average (a bit on the tall side, but I do not have very big wrists. I am a runner and do not have very much muscle tone on my arms and wrists. These cuffs are tight on me. To get them closed causes some pain. Now I would call myself a masochist, and I do enjoy pain, but I still do not really like these handcuffs. They provide a pinching sensation that is not pleasant. These did however fit on my girlfriend quite well. She is 5 foot 5, and has an athletic build. So I think the fit is good for a smaller female, but I think it is not a good fit for males or for people who are have larger wrists.

I think this toy will work for quite a long time. It has fairly minimal parts, and I cannot really see much going wrong with them. The craftsmanship is fine. It is not something I marvel at, but I think functions well.

Performance

These cuffs' performance is going to depend on the size of your wrists. They did not fit me, so instead I will give my girlfriend's opinion. She thought they looked nice. They added some light fun to playtime. But even with them fitting properly she did not enjoy them overly. We both agree that leather wrist cuffs or rope are much more comfortable.

Both of us like to struggle against our restraints. I think it adds a lot of fun to be able to struggle, but with these handcuffs I found myself remaining very still because they hurt to struggle against. I found my wrists were a bit red after removing them (and that was only playing for approximately for 15 minutes).

Care and Maintenance

The faux fur slides off the cuffs when they are open. The fur can be hand washed or just thrown in the washing machine.

The metal, I think, is best wiped down. It could definitely rust though, so I would try to keep them as dry as possible. Again, because of this I would store them in a dry place with some airflow. These cuffs do not take much maintenance though. If you had problems with sliding you could always throw some oil in them real quick, but I doubt that is ever necessary.

Personal comments

I think these handcuffs would be good to role-play with them being very loose. I think they look fun, and add some humor and bondage to a scene. However, I do not think they make a good toy to actually restrain your partner. If you are not going to struggle in them then they could work fine. If you want an actual bondage toy, then spend your money elsewhere. You will simply get a better product for bondage.
Follow-up commentary
These are just not my favorite restraints. They pinch and are painful and I far prefer to use leather restraints over them. They are cute and fun, and maybe will get used again during a police interrogation scene, but for the majority of our bondage play we are going to use our leather restraints. They are far more comfortable and far more fun to play with.

Thanks for the review. Just so you know, rope isn't the best way to start with bondage because it can cause nerve damage or join dislocation if it isn't done correctly.

I tried rope to begin bondage. Understandably it requires some knowledge, but because of its versatility I think it can be a good starting point. There are some very easy ties that are easy to properly execute and are very safe. For example the french bowline. It will not slip, so how tight you tie it is how tight it stays. I understand you point. Knowledge is necessary, but I do not think that means it is a bad starting point. I would also like to point out that handcuffs (and all metal bondage restraints) can also cause nerve damage.
