Got these as a gag gift, and they almost cost us a lot!

She surprised me with the fact that she chose the cuffs as a door prize at a work friend’s bachelorette party. I had been thinking about introducing some bondage into our bedroom play, but was unsure how to go about it. Now, in walks my beautiful, shy (slightly drunk) wife with pink handcuffs!

Being new to this, I didn’t know what to look for in quality construction or material.
I got excited with thoughts of restraining her, and she thought something pink and fuzzy couldn’t hurt.

Now I know there a few things to ensure before you use a new set of cuffs. The first should be a working safety to ensure the cuffs don’t tighten during play, as ours did.
It is a simple switch that locks the teeth in place. These had the switch, but as soon as she would roll over, the safety slid off. The second is a key that is substantial enough not to break, again, as these did for us. The cheep aluminum key worked fine when the cuffs were off and lose, but broke in a hasty attempt to remove them when the safety failed and tightened down uncomfortably.

As we were playing, the tooth side got hit, and without the safety to stop it, closed farther. She later told me she had noticed before it got painful, but didn’t want to stop the fun to fix it. Eventually, they closed so far it was pinching the skin painfully.
Trying to get them off quickly, the key broke, something that I have since learned should NEVER happen!

The only good thing about the cheep construction, is that I could pry the double strand sides apart and break the rivets holding the assembly together
