Oh Perk, Perk, Perk, how I loveth thou…with thine delightful curve and thy pleasuring abilities.

Yes, the Perk feels lovely. I find the curve to be perfect for me. The curve in most toys is either too subtle or way too unnatural and aggressive. I am blessed with a curved cock bearing husband, and the Perk matches his penis quite nicely. It not only has a comparable curve in it, but the size is dead on too. Coming in it at 6 inches of insertable length and 1 ½ inches in diameter, this is a very average size. I bought this originally to go in my Jaguar harness|Jaguar harness review for the purposes of pegging with said husband, but increasingly find the perk buried in my own little cave instead.

Having mentioned previously that the idea behind ordering this was pegging, I had a few requirements that had to be met with this toy. It had to be a realistic size, it had to be made of sterilizable silicone, it had to include a vibrating bullet, and it had to come in a more masculine color. My husband doesn’t care about color at all, but I am not willing in a million years to see something pink going in his butt. We chose the black, which is a very sexy dark black and goes lovely with my black harness. Speaking of my harness, this dildo fits wonderfully in my leather Jaguar harness. Being harness compatible, the Perk has a nice firm base which makes it safe for anal play.

Being silicone, this toy is super easy to clean and sterilize. I always clean it with Before and After toy cleaner|Before and after toy cleaner before and after each use. I clean it afterwards for obvious reasons (no dirty dildos for me, thank you!) and before use I clean it just to get all the lint and particles off of it. Silicone attracts lint about the same as Jelly does, so keep that in mind. When I use this for vaginal play I don’t bother sterilizing it, but I do so after every anal use. This is also a very good idea when sharing. You can boil for 3 to 10 minutes, put it on the top rack of your dishwasher (no soap!) or you can wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution. I prefer to boil mine, but that’s just a personal preference as any of these 3 methods work well.

Lube is always important with silicone. Silicone toys tend to dry me out when I use them vaginally, so I always put a thin layer of Maximus|Maximus lube on them. Silicone toys should NEVER touch anything else that is silicone. That includes other silicone toys (even composites like TPR silicone) as well as silicone lubricant. Use water based lube only unless you want to risk melting your new favorite toy. Another great feature of this being silicone is that it is smell and taste free. This toy does not hold onto oders when boiled. This is a very great quality when used anally.

I would recommend the Happy Valley's dildo|Perk - Dildo by Happy Valley to anyone who has either a vagina or an anus, which would be everyone! This truly is a great dildo. As I build my collection, I still come back to the Perk for a good pounding!

My husband found this dildo to be very comfortable. The head is prominent enough to be felt, but is small enough and smooth enough for easy and comfortable insertion. The prostate stroking abilities of this dildo are great. Unlike a real penis, you can just turn it to match the position you are in. I found this great for pegging because when in doggy style I could point the tip downwards to hit his prostate, and when he was laying on his back all I had to do was turn it so it was pointing upward. The vibrations from the included bullet aren’t the strongest, but seem adequate for this purpose. My husband can’t feel the vibrations very much, but they do enhance the pleasure he receives from this toy when used anally. The dildo sits nicely around my clit and provides gentle vibrations to me as well. This puts my husband at ease knowing that I too am receiving pleasure. If you are new to anal penetration, I would highly recommend a toy that vibrates, as this helps the sphincter muscles to relax.

I love the G-spot stimulation that is provided from this dildo when I use it vaginally. It is firm enough to allow for some good pressure and the base provides a good handle for easy maneuvering. I also enjoy anal penetration with the Perk. It is smooth and firm and feels quite lovely. Double penetration is comfortable and very satisfactory when coupled with my husband’s natural equipment. Sadly my harness won’t work for a male bodied wearer, so this needs to be manually maneuvered for us until we get a new harness.
