The Perk is the sort of all purpose dildo that everyone should have at least one of. The size is perfectly average. The size won't scare off those new to insertable toys, but the design makes it satisfying to anyone. Honestly, anyone could enjoy this toy one way or another.



It can be used for clitoral stimulation, vaginal insertion or anal play. The gentle curve at the head of this guy, and the smooth texture of the shaft work well to rub against your clit. The vibrations give you that extra push. I was surprised how great this toy felt when I rubbed it against myself. It feels firm, and it warms to your body temperature. For vaginal stimulation, this toy is pleasantly filling but not overwhelming. It's long enough to make an impact, but not too long that most users will have to worry about bruising from vigorous thrusting. The gentle curve of the shaft help the Perk to rub your g-spot with its smooth head, which feels great. The Perk could also be used anally, as it has a flared base. Anal newbies may not be able to handle the size of the Perk, but intermediate to advanced users will enjoy it. The curve that works for g-spotting will work for p-spotting as well.

The Perk is harness and O-ring compatible, so it could be used for strap on play, or for pegging. It is very comfortable to just hold on to the base as well, so you don't need to enjoy harness play to enjoy this toy.

The vibrating bullet is inset slightly, so you won't hit the button accidentally while you are holding and thrusting the Perk. The bullet is removable, of course, so you could use the bullet for external stimulation while you thrust the Perk internally, either vaginally or anally. Removing the bullet does not cause the Perk to lose its structural integrity, so you can use it with or without the bullet with the same sensation.

As the Perk is flexible and the ridges are rounded, it's a great toy for couples play. Even if your partner doesn't hit the exact angle, the ridge won't catch on your pubic bone and the toy won't bruise or injure you. The base is small enough to stay out of the way during oral sex when used vaginally and anally, so it's a great add on to other partner play.

The Perk itself is waterproof and could be used in the shower or bath. The bullet is not waterproof, so it will need to stay dry. The base has no suction cup, so it won't stick to the shower wall for hands free fun. You would need to hold the base of the Perk for any fun in the shower or tub, or bring along a partner to hold it for you.

The Perk is made of 100% high quality silicone. It is on the firm side, but can still be bent and flexed. When you squeeze it between your thumb and forefinger, there is a slight amount of squish, but not very much. When you hold the base in the palm of your hand and extend the dildo horizontally, it has a small amount of flop if you move your hand up and down. The surface is matte, with a slight amount of drag when you run your finger across the toy.

There is no texture to the Perk, aside from the stylized head. Where the head meets the shaft is a very rounded gentle ridge, with a slope before and after it. Unlike other dildos that seem to catch on your pubic bone right where the head meets the shaft, the gentle curves of the Perk are comfortable and slide smoothly when you thrust. The shaft of the smooth is entirely smooth, with no veining or ridges.

The color on my Perk could not be prettier! The shiny, sparkly silver is amazing and beautiful. You can see gentle swirls of lighter and darker silver winding around each other. It would be perfect as a holiday toy, or to match your favorite sexy panties. You will want to stare at this toy for a long time!

The Perk has a total length of 6 1/2", and an insertable length of 6". I'd say it's an average size for a dildo. I didn't find it too large to comfortably play with, or too small to satisfy. It's a great size for the average sex toy user. The base of the Perk measures 2 1/2" in diameter, and is easy to hold on to.

The diameter of the Perk is 1 1/2", which is fairly average as far as dildos are concerned. I suppose it's just a touch toward the high side of normal, but in this case the design works with your body in every way. There is ridging or veining to fight against, and the material is fairly forgiving. I wouldn't let its size scare you away, no matter who you are.

The gentle curve to the entire toy is one of my favorite features of the Perk. When you pair the supple firmness with that curve, you get a toy that really works for g-spot and p-spot play, but is still comfortable to use. Who doesn't love that?

The Perk is unmistakably phallic, but it isn't overly realistic. The head of the toy is modeled after the glans of a real penis, but in a very benign and generic way. The color is far from flesh toned, and there is no veining or skin texture to the toy. The head itself has no meatus, and no retracted foreskin or circumcision scar is represented in the design.

If you intend to travel with the Perk, know that anyone who sees it will know that it's a sex toy, so it would be best stored in your checked bags. It may be silver, but it's too phallic to pass as anything else. If you do decide to travel with it, please remove the batteries from the bullet. Having to explain a vibrating silver dildo will probably ruin your vacation.

This toy shines when used for thrusting. Clearly it was designed with movement in mind. It is ergonomic to hold, and glides with your body. You can get a bit of an angle change depending on the way you hold the base, and the angle at which you insert the toy, but I don't find that I need to mess with it to get the job done. It seems designed to hunt my g-spot and provide pressure there. It isn't necessarily pinpoint stimulation, so if you need that, this may not be the ideal toy for that. That smooth wide head can still provide a lot of pressure, and when paired with the vibrating bullet, it gets the job done.

The bullet itself isn't anything special. It's a standard one button bullet, you push the button to turn it on and then off again. It is plastic, coated with a shiny silver. The button is small, black and made of rubber. There is only one intensity setting. Although it's a pretty standard bullet, the vibrations do travel well though the Perk when you use it. It takes 3 watch batteries, and they are included. I'd call the vibrations more of a buzz, not a rumble. It isn't very loud, but it isn't very powerful, so that kind of makes sense. To avoid having trouble removing the bullet, I put a small drop of lube on the tip of the bullet before I put it in the Perk, and it will come out easily when you want it to. Also, bending the Perk in half will shoot the bullet out if it gets stuck or doesn't want to budge.




The cut out portion in the center of the Perk is slightly different than others out there, having a more conical shape instead of cylindrical, so it isn't compatible with the suction cup adapters that are sold by a few other companies.

The Perk itself is made of silicone, so caring for it is quite simple. You can clean it with soap and water or your favorite toy cleaner. To sterilize the Perk, you can boil it for three minutes or run it through the dishwasher on the top rack. You could also wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution to sterilize it, if you prefer to do it that way.

Compared to other silicone toys, the Perk picks up very little lint or hair, but you will still want to look it over before using it to make sure it's clean. If you find some fuzzies or lint, give it a rinse to make sure it's ready to go. There are no grooves or folds to collect fluids or dirt, so cleaning it doesn't require scrubbing or a brush. The bullet can just be wiped off if and when it needs it. You can't submerge or boil the bullet.

The Perk is silicone, so you will want to avoid silicone lubes. You can use any water based lubes with this toy. Also, take care when storing the Perk. Silicone toys should not be stored touching any other silicone toys, to avoid damaging them. I keep mine in the plastic bag it came in, and then place it in my toy bin. You could also use a toy pouch, if you'd prefer that.

The Perk comes in a plastic bag with a folded piece of cardboard stapled to it. The cardboard contains the name of the of the company that makes the Perk, and some basic information about the toy itself. The bullet comes in the same plastic bag, with no other division or wrapping.

The back of the cardboard says:

"Designed with your body in mind. The extra wide bases are superb for harness use. Our premium quality silicone is ideal for people with latex allergies. Clean with soap and water or even by boiling for ten minutes. To ensure your toy enjoys a long life keep away from sharp objects and silicone based lubricants. Above all have fun!"

I wouldn't say the package lends itself to gifting, so if you do wish to give this to someone you will want to take it out of the package and put it in a different box or bag. The bag is clear, so you can see the toy inside the package. It is obviously a sex toy, so the package isn't discreet.

This is my second product from Happy Valley, and I'm impressed. The silicone is smooth and uniform, and the trimming along the circumference of the base looks even and well done. As far as quality is concerned, I can find no fault with the Perk. I'm planning to add more Happy Valley items to my collection!

There really isn't anything more adoring I could say about the Perk. We love it.

I would easily place it in my top three dildos, and it will probably stay there. The folks that designed this guy really put a lot of thought into it, and it shows. It is my new favorite toy to use while my husband goes down on me. It feels great to finish with it inside of me, and usually a few extra thrusts will make it happen all over again!
