Perky and Perfect

This is a dildo with no bells or whistles like special textures or a head designed for G-spot stimulation. But it's smooth, light weight, harness compatible, high-quality silicone, and will be a trustworthy thruster in my collection.

Use

Obviously this dildo is great for vaginal penetration but since there is a flared base, it's also safe for anal use. And because there are no intense ridges whatsoever, it won't catch on your pubic bone or on the anal sphincter. The base also makes it perfect for strap-on play. But because there is no handhold or suction cup, it's not the best for solo use unless you have a little creativity and/or additional equipment.

Material / Texture

The Perk is made of high quality silicone and is non-porous, completely body safe, easy to clean, and firm. I particularly like it's smooth texture because it still has some drag to it and is amazing with a simple drop or two of lube. It's completely smooth with a slight ridge at the head in a whimsical reference to a real penis without looking real. This ridge is not sharp or catching but just enough for added sensation and I love it.

The silicone itself is firm and rigid but it's not as hard as, say, the feeldoe is. It does have a very slight squish to its texture and can bend but it's in no way as flexible or giving as jelly or rubber. But unlike those materials, silicone won't degrade and it doesn't have any nasty smells or tastes.

And I chose the silver color because I liked the marbled look and I figured my partner would love the gun-metal color. It's very attractive. And comparing the metal-looking color to the softer, lighter feel of the silicone is humorous.

Design / Shape / Size

Besides loving the color, this dildo is very light weight because there's a hole at the base for the bullet vibrator to be inserted. The hole goes pretty deep which ensures the vibrations make through the whole length of the shaft and makes it a much lighter dildo to put in a harness. I love that attention to detail.

Again, I love the ridge being more subtle and less sharp because it still adds to the sensation without catching on the pubic bone. And the length is similar to that of a real penis, which good be good or bad for other people but I like it. There isn't any worry of it hitting my cervix or cause uncomfortable stretching.

Because it comes in fun colors rather than looking realistic and the fact that it's a more natural size, it's great for beginners and advancer users alike.

Performance

I have to admit that I first thought the Perk was a bit underwhelming. With 6-inches insertable and a diameter of 1.5-inches, it was pretty average. And with no special texture like ridges, it seemed to only be useful as a small thrusting toy. But I will admit it when I'm wrong. This dildo felt great! It goes in smoothly with just a little (water-based) lube and that subtle bump near the head of the dildo even massaged the G-spot area. And while it isn't big enough to give some people that "full" feeling, the size (while not the colors) is realistic.

Now this dildo isn't designed for G-spot stimulation so if that's your poison, you'll need to look elsewhere. The curve to the dildo is very slight and the subtle bump is just that - subtle. But if you want a modest-sized, non-realistic thrusting toy, this is your dildo.

Care and Maintenance

Silicone is super easy to care for. Wash it with warm water and soap, use a 10% bleach solution, or a toy cleaner. It's completely non-porous and easy to sterilize.

If you're not going to store it in a plastic bag or toy box of some kind, be prepared to wash it before use because silicone will pick up lint and hair that it comes in contact with. It's not the worst of the tacky-feeling toys I've had though and it's very easy to keep clean.

Because it is silicone, make sure to use only water-based lubes when using this toy as silicone-based lubes can interact with the material and degrade it over time.

Packaging

I was underwhelmed with the packaging. It was in a simple plastic bag with a cardboard display stapled to the top. On the positive side, it's less waste of resources in packaging this toy, for the eco-conscious. But it does not make for good storage either.

On the positive side, again, it does think to ship the batteries for the bullet vibrator outside the device to prevent corrosion.

Personal comments

I chose not to use the included bullet. For one, I'm not particularly fond of vibrations in a dildo because thrusting is my personal preference.

But there's an issue with the bullet itself. So if the vibration option is important to you, you might need to purchase a substitute bullet to use because mine was faulty.

First, when you open it up to insert the batteries, there's a barely noticeable piece of plastic inside the bullet you need to remove first. I almost didn't catch it. And then when I put the batteries in, all I had to do to turn it on was put my finger on the battery. I thought that was odd but I continued anyway and capped the bullet. But then it wouldn't turn on when I click the on/off button! I uncapped it again and merely touched the top battery and it would vibrate again. So I capped it once more and again it wouldn't turn on. I thought it was super strange and set the bullet down on the table and then it started going off randomly! Perhaps I have the haunted bullet but honestly it's not worth my efforts anymore.
Follow-up commentary
What can I say about the Perk that hasn't already been said? I still love it! I love the beautiful color and design, love the lightweight silicone, love the smooth texture! The only downside I've come across is that the bullet hole isn't the standard size so I won't be able to use this toy with the Tantus Suction Cup I've been eyeing. But that single downside doesn't alter my adoration of this fine dildo.

I most recommend this one for people interested in harness play! It's stable and incredibly lightweight and will be easy for the newest to the most advanced harness user. If your bullet actually works, it will sit in deep enough to the toy that it won't be turning on and off during penetration either. I simply love this toy.
