O2 Adam - realistic dildo discontinued by Tantus - review by married with children

There really is not a lot I can put in this section. This is a dildo. It is used like a dildo. There are no motors or functions to this. No special way this needs to be used. It is waterproof. It is flared for use in a harness. It can be used solo or with a partner. It is travel friendly. Adam has a curve to him, but I would not say he is designed for G-spot play. He did nothing for my wife's g-spot.

This is a bigger toy, so use caution when using it. My wife did not like his size that much. I will touch on the size more below, but it is not what is stated on the product page.

This can be used for temperature play, though not as well as stainless steel or glass. This heats up pretty quickly to body temperature. A lot faster then steel or glass. So it is a pretty fair trade off IMO.

This is made from 100% silicone. It is a dual layer, meaning that the inner layer is firm and the outer layer is soft and flexible like skin. This is done so that they toy will feel realistic, and it does to a point. Nothing can take the place of a real penis or vagina, that is just a fact. But Tantus comes close with their O2 line of products. It has a skin like feel, and the flexibility of a real penis. Well, a little more flexibility then a real hard-on. The silicone has no scent or taste to it. And because silicone is non-porous, it will not pick up any unwanted scents or flavors.

This is pretty smooth. It has the ridge around the head, plus what looks to be veins running down the shaft. They are not overly pronounced, but they are there and can be felt. The surface has a bit of drag to it, though with enough lube this is not a issue. The surface will also pick up lint and what not during storage, as it tends to be slightly sticky to the touch.

About the plushness of the dual layer silicone, it has some give when you squeeze it in your hand. It is similar to a real penis. The inner core is firm enough to feel like a real muscle. Though it is not as stiff as the real thing. Although I only have my penis to compare it to. You can bend this in half, something that can not be done to mine. So IMO it is way off on the flexibility factor. Dont let that scare you off, this is firm enough to insert with ease. It does not flop around.

This is shaped like a penis. It has a pronounced head, veins on the shaft, and a slight upward curve. I think this feels more realistic then Vixskin does. Vixskin has a more siliconish feel to it. While this has a almost skin like feel. But we talked about this above, so lets talk about the dimensions of the dildo. The product page has it listed as a diameter of 1 5/8 inches, which is one of the reasons we picked this out. It is supposed to be close to my penis size; not that I am bragging, but my wife does not like to go bigger then mine as it is uncomfortable for her. But this was way bigger then 1 5/8 inches. This is 1 3/4 inches in diameter. Now I know what you are thinking. It is only a 1/8 of a inch difference. But that 1/8 of a inch difference is too much to someone who does not enjoy bigger toys.

This is also about 7 1/4 inches long, with 6 3/4 inches of that being insertable. There is a flange on the end, making this both useable in a harness and safe for anal.

I would have to say that this is not for beginners, due to its size. It is also not discreet. So you cant leave it laying out on the counter. Like I stated above, this is curved. I have seen reviews stating that this is good for g-spot play. It did not work for my wife in this fashion. It was too flexible to stimulate her g-spot. She is more into using her pure wand for g-spot play. This one did not apply enough pressure on her g-spot to do anything.

We did not like the larger size on this. I wish it was the 1 5/8 inch diameter stated on the product page. At least it would get some use then. As it sits now, it is too large for my wife to use and get pleasure from. Maybe someday that will change, but I am not counting on it nor pushing the matter.

We did not try this in a harness. But I know it would do great. The flared base is heavy enough to hold it in. And the dildo is not as heave as some others we have tried in a harness. So I know it would sit in a harness without coming out, and not pull down on the harness because of its weight.

I cant give you too much information on performance. She only used it twice, and wont touch it again. But we have used a lot of other Tantus toys in the past, and continue to use some of them now. So I know that the material will hold up to use. Assuming you use water based lube and keep it clean after each use. We have never had a problem with any of our Tantus toys in the past. Each one has been quality, even the ones that did not work for my wife or I.

Since this is made from 100% silicone, it is super easy to care for and keep clean. We just wash our silicone toys in warm water with some soap. But you could also soak it in a bleach solution, or wash it in the dishwasher on the top shelf. You could even boil it in some water, or use a toy cleaner. So many options to keep your toy looking and feeling brand new.

Storage is not a major issue either. We just toss it in the toy drawer or in the closet with the other toys. It will get a little dusty or lint covered, but a quick rinse before use will get it clean again. Silicone will not react with other toys, just don't store it near anything sharp. You could keep the packaging to store it in, but I did not find this to be a option for us.

Do not use this with silicone lube, as the lube will react with the silicone on the toy causing some damage to the surface. If you just have to use silicone lube, put a un-lubricated condom on the toy before applying the lube.

This comes in what seems to be the typical Tantus packaging for their silicone dildos. It comes in a clear plastic box, with the toy inside clearly visible. It is in no way discreet. It is not a package that we want to keep, even if we need a storage spot for the toy. Be careful if you order this and you open your postage box with people in the house whom you do not want to see what you purchased. They will be able to see exactly what you purchased as soon as you open the box. There is no leaving anything to their imagination.

The packaging is pretty informative. It has a web site address to go and find out more about the dildo, as well as Tantus's other lines. There is a short sepal about Tantus on the back, it is nothing special or ground breaking.

The packaging is huge compared to the dildo. It is 6 1/2 by 9 by 3 inches. That is a lot bigger then the toy. Not sure why they feel that the packaging needs to be so big. There is nothing else included with the dildo. I would understand if it came with some paper work, or a lube sample, or anything else that would add some space to the requirement. But it is just the toy. So the larger size makes it harder to hide, if you are keeping the packaging.

I am little disappointed in the information that is not included with your purchase. When you spend almost $100 on a top of the line silicone dildo, you expect a certain amount of information about how to care for your investment. I do not feel that is unreasonable. I know you can go on-line and find all the information, or read a review on this site. But it is still the principle of it. Spend the extra $.25 on a booklet and give the customer all the tools they need to protect their investment they have made with you.
