Crushing On My Cush

The Tantus Cush is a brand new dildo that has all the fantastic features of a high end, pure silicone toy but also feels amazingly realistic. With a girth that's enough to push an adventurous beginner to their limits and please even the biggest size queens, this baby is a must have for almost everyone.

Use

The gorgeous new Tantus Cush is obviously designed for vaginal insertion, but if you're braver than I and think you can deal with the small flange then I'm sure it would make a backdoor beast too!

The Tantus Cush is what they call a "duel density" dildo made from luscious medical grade silicone. It has an impressive stature and would probably be a bit too much of a challenge for most beginners. Size queens however can rejoice because the Tantus Cush should be perfect for them and others interested in gradually pushing the limits where size is concerned.

The Cush is also made to fit into an o-ring harness, the firm, flat base even though small will give good support inside your favourite harness and hold securely through lots of rigorous thrusting!

Material / Texture

The Tantus Cush is made from a material they call o2, it's Tantus' own duel density silicone. Duel density means that it has a firmer silicone core with an overlay of a softer, more pliable silicone on top giving it an incredibly realistic feel, but still maintaining all the awesome benefits of a pure silicone toy.

The silicone that Tantus uses in their o2 toys is medical grade silicone and not only completely body safe and contains no phthalates. It is also latex free, hypo-allergenic and completely sterilisable. The Cush has a very light odour, not one that is at all unpleasant (to me anyway) and it's only detectable when held right up against the nose, but strangely enough is stronger on the base. There is also no taste to the lovely o2 silicone, but I would definitely wash it before you give it a try because of the slight residue from manufacturing which I'll explain.

To the touch, right out of the box, the outer silicone layer has a very slight stickiness, this could be from a manufacturing residue and it's not unsightly at all, but it does go away with the first wash. The silicone itself is a matte type of finish, no shininess and no real texture apart from the nice light bit of drag it has from the matte-ness. It is also a very soft, squishy type of silicone and even gets a bit stretchy around the very tip of the toy where there is no inner core.

The inner silicone is much firmer and even though it will bend and move with your body nicely, it still is quite rigid. This makes for a great contrast to the outer layer, making it feel much more like actual flesh.

The Tantus o2 Cush also retains heat rather well which adds to the realistic sensations of this toy. Once heated either by some warm water or body heat itself, this toy is amazingly realistic and even though I much prefer the real thing the Cush is a very agreeable substitution.

Design / Shape / Size

The shape of the Cush is a "stylised" realistic design with a fairly straight shaft starting at a somewhat pointy, almost conical tip that measures 5.5" in circumference at the widest point. The actual shaft of the Cush has a very slight almost unnoticeable curve to it accentuated by a bit of a bulge just below the glans. The Cush also has an added extra in the way of a nice deep groove and a pronounced ridge stretching around at a diagonal from the frenulum to about halfway down the front of the shaft itself. This groove has more of a upturned effect than the glans itself and has a much sharper edge to it (it's not sharp as in it will cut you, but it's not rounded off like the head of the toy). At the very base of the toy there is a fairly minimal flat base with a height of 0.4" and even though it only sits about half an inch wider than the shaft on all sides, I don't think it will be too small for anal, but I would still keep an eye on it.

The entire length of the Cush is 7.1" and the insertable length is 6.8", so it is quite substantial in length and also in girth with its smallest circumference being 5.2" just underneath the special ridge and largest at the glans which again is 5.5" in circumference. The total base circumference is 8.4" and provides a very sturdy, steady base for riding.

Performance

The Tantus Cush is yet another amazing toy from Tantus and I already can't live without this baby in my collection.

The Cush exceeded my expectations in both size and function. The lip around the shaft of the Cush is a great feature and for me, when in use rubs against my walls very pleasantly. The very soft also is a bonus, the very squishy tip meant that even with some very hard, deep thrusting I had no pain.

There is nothing that isn't great about this toy for me, but some people have personal preferences in the length, girth and materials/feel of their toys. So I'm sure that even though I have fallen head over heels for my Cush, some people may find its size intimidating and/or the duel density material not as pleasurable as I do.

Care and Maintenance

You care for your Cush the same way you care for all your silicone toys. A good cleaning via a 10% bleach solution, a spin in the dishwasher, make some dildo soup by boiling it for a few mins or even just some hand soap or toy cleaner. One of the best things about Tantus' o2 material is that it is very easy to clean and gives you lots of options to best do that, as well as keeping the realistic feel most of us love.

As the Cush is silicone, I would strongly warn against using silicone lubes with it to prevent any degrading of the lovely o2 material. That means water based only please people!

Storing the Cush requires something that won't leave lint on it or as little as possible because I've found that the o2 material loves lint and dust even more than most silicone toys I have. It seems to suck dust right out of the air! Personally I keep mine in the Tantus box, but you can leave it free standing or pop it in a bag/pouch, I would stay away from anything fuzzy like velvet though.

One more thing, as mentioned before, the outer layer of silicone is a very soft one, so some caution will have to be taken when your storing. I wouldn't let it get near any sharp edges like those of plastic clam shell packaging as it could cut or tear the outer layer.

Packaging

The Cush comes in the usual plastic Tantus box with the clear plastic support shell inside. the box itself is pretty much clear on three sides and slightly opaque on the back. The front has a small sections of red at the bottom with "Choose Tantus the science of sensation, The worlds best soft toys for adults, 100% ultra premium platinum silicone" in varying font sizes. There is a Tantus logo just above that and down the left hand side of the front window in large and indescreet lettering is "100% ultra-premimum platinum silicone, non-toxic hypoallergenic phthalate free". The sides both have a red strip down one edge with more white writing about the Tantus silicone and a couple more logos, the right hand side of the box also has some short sentences on " What makes Tantus toys the best". On the opaque back of the plastic box there are more logos for Tantus, health for the body and a waterproof symbol along with yet more information on the quality of Tantus toys and how to clean them.

The box is far from discreet and especially so since it is completely see through almost all the way around, allowing for nearly 360 degree veiws of the toy inside. Storage inside the box is what I do, but I have devided a way to make it simpler and a little neater. Since my toys have to come such a long way, often I get the packaging in less than peak condition, so I cut off the top flaps of the Tantus boxes and flip the inner support case around so that the box acts as just a cover and can be slipped off easily but still keeps as much dust out as possible.

The Tantus box, in good condition could easily be wrapped to give as a gift, but if you want something that is less than screaming "I've got a big cock inside" then I would go for something else.

    • Minimal
    • Not discreet

Personal comments

I know different people have different opinions about the o2 material compared to Vixskin but honestly I love both and I think the only reel difference between the two is that o2 has a very firm core with a very soft outer layer while a Vixskin core is a bit more flexible and the outer layer is less pliable. Both are exceedingly well made and pleasurable toys. All in all I don't have a favourite out of the two materials and love them both.
