I would say this is best used with a partner. The length and girth are the biggest I have ever experienced, and I think it is hard to manipulate on your own. If you want to use it solo and you have long legs, you may be able to kneel, but the average person will have to squat. The suction cup is a plus for this, but due to the weight (2 lbs), I found that it would not easily stay horizontally (shower wall), but worked on the edge of a bathtub (vertically).
