Doc Johnson's Wonderland Pleasurepillar

All in all this is a great toy. We had a lot of fun exploring what it could do. For the price and its intention it delivered right on the mark.

Use

The Pleasurepillar is cute, compact and easy to use. Designed for g-spot stimulation, but great for other uses as well. The users manual says it is safe for anal use, however I wouldn't use this toy anally because it isn't flared at the base. That being said, this toy is not a uni-tasker at all. The Pleasurepillar can be used to tease nipples, clitoral stimulation and of course g-spot stimulation, but my husband loved how it felt under his balls.

For couples this toy can not only be a whole lot of fun, but super helpful. If your partner has been having a hard time finding your g-spot, the Pleasurepillar will make it so much easier for them and so rewarding for you both!

This toy is great for beginners exploring g-spot stimulation and solo play as well. Let's face it, not all of us know where our g-spots are, and that's FINE! But don't sell yourself short and just give up! A toy like this will not only help you find that ever illusive g-spot, but for a beginner, will help you discover what all the hype is about! And for those of us who have already discovered where our g-spot is, it's a whole lot of fun in a small package.

Material / Texture

OK, so this is where I wasn't sure I was going to like this toy. Until recently, I went more for plastic or jelly toys. I have been moving away from the jelly toys more to try and explore what's out there and silicone is where I am stuck right now. The Pleasurepillar is ultra smooth and feels very soft (but not squishy). It has no smell, taste, or real texture to it and feels great on the skin. I hope other silicone toys I try feel as good as this one.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

The insertable portion has a sharp curve to it with a "nose" that comes to a sharp point facing down and 2 graduated bulges on the body. The end is a simple twist off where the battery goes with a very sensitive push button on the end which is used to turn it off and on and lights up when it is on. The lights on the end also blink according to which setting it is on.

As far as size is concerned, this is not going to be the toy you go running for if you're looking for that "full" feeling. For a beginner/intermediate its a great size, but I do have reservations about recommending this for an advanced user who may want a bigger toy.

Outside of the packaging it wouldn't be completely obvious what the Pleasurepillar is, but I wouldn't just leave it (or any toy) laying around to be found by curious kids.

Functions / Performance / Controls

I think the bullet is located directly above the battery. You can't really feel where the bullet is by squeezing the body, but it definitely isn't in the head. Even with the bullet where it is, the vibrations travel to the head very well and can be felt throughout the whole toy.

The great thing about the different settings is that the vibrations not only change patterns but they change their pitch. What I mean is, some vibrations are sharper, and some have more of a bass but remain just as intense on some settings.

The controls have easy access and are quite sensitive. During solo play, you will want to hold it at the base, but not all the way at the end unless you're trying to change the setting because the button is quite sensitive. If the button we're less sensitive or was in a different place that would probably make things a bit more convenient. It's super quiet, our fan drowned it out so in roommate or dorm situations, there won't be any issues.

The Pleasurepillar is waterproof, haven't had the chance to use it in water, but I will update you on that in my followup.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use
    • Multiple settings

Care and Maintenance

Silicone has proved to be a lot easier to care for than I initially thought. I use my toy cleaning wipes for cleanup, but antibacterial soap and warm water are just as good. Also, a 90/10 water to bleach solution is safe for silicone if you would like to sterilize it. Between the little bulges in the body it is a bit of work to get into the creases, but if you take care to pay attention to this portion, it shouldn't be a problem.

Do not boil this toy as it has a motor, and even though it is waterproof, I wouldn't take any chances. Of course if you're sharing, always use a condom, and as usual don't store this in direct contact with other silicone toys.

As far as lube is concerned, because we're talking silicone here, your favorite non silicone based lube will work just fine.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The packaging is super cute. There is an outer sleeve with a picture of the toy and the name, the outside sleeve is not very discrete, the back has all the details on it as well, so anyone reading it will know what it is.

Inside the sleeve is a little box that opens with a magnetic flip panel on the side like a hollowed out book. The cover is a decorated "W" and says Wonderland below, as well as on the "binding" side of the "book". The back has a small Doc Johnson logo on it.

I think the images on the "book" should have been swapped with the images on the sleeve. The inside cover has information on the collection as a whole. There are no instructions on the packaging, but if you lift the platform the toy is sitting in out of the box there is an instruction booklet inside that tells you about how to install and how to use the toy.
    • Good for storage
    • Minimal
    • Would make a nice gift

Personal comments

All in all we had a great time with this toy. G-spot stimulation is something we're exploring more in depth and the experience with the Pleasurepillar has only increased my desire to add more toys like it to our collection. Between how comfortable it is, ease of use and fun factor this will not be a toy that is easy to leave out. I'm looking forward to having a lot more fun with the Pleasurepillar in the very near future.
Follow-up commentary
We use this toy quite often and it is always fun. The wide range of patterns makes for a new experience every time.

Great review! Glad you had fun with this. I thought this line was adorable, but most of the toys got bad reviews and I just don't think they'd work out for me. Thanks for sharing though, you did wonderful at explaining this!
