Use

Tumble down the rabbit hole and you'll be surrounded by unique creations, like all of Doc Johnson's Wonderland vibes---but none is quite so unique and pleasurable as the Pleasurepillar. The firm-but-flexible bulged design with a tip perfect for applying pressure with pinpoint accuracy, the teal green color, the waterproof quality, and the sensations on your g-spot and clit will leave you saying "Who. Are. You.---And why weren't you in my life before now?"

The Pleasurepillar is smaller than your hand with fingers outstretched (assuming you haven't taken a bite of the other side of the mushroom, of course), but the small size and adorable hook combine for one of the most intense pinpoint sensations I've ever felt---and this is especially nice because often pinpoint toys, unless they're completely rigid, tend to lose vibrational power when pressure is applied. The silicone of the Pleasurepillar's neck flexes but does not let the vibrations weaken, so you can stimulate the underside of your clit or the exact center of your g-spot (so long as your g-spot isn't too deep) with as much pressure as your body desires.

Travel-sized and AA-battery powered, the Pleasurepillar will do a wonderful job accompanying you as you explore your wonderland, although it requires a closed door to keep others from overhearing. The vibrations it offers are not the most rumbly in the world but they're not too buzzy, so those who enjoy mid-range vibrations will be more than pleased by the Pleasurepillar.

Material / Texture

The Pleasurepillar is made of buttery-smooth, firm silicone over a plastic battery and motor housing. The tip of the toy where the battery cap comes off and the control button are made of plastic, so the entire toy is non-porous and easily washable.

The neck of the Pleasurepillar can be flexed about 30 degrees, but it still provides excellent firm pressure to the clit or g-spot---it seems that rather than "flexing away" from your erogenous zones, it just "bounces," enhancing pleasure rather than reducing it. Even when flexed, the vibrations stay strong.

Though the silicone has a very smooth feel, it is not very plush---when squeezing either the Pleasurepillar's head or the bulges of his body, the vibe has no give. Your kegels can squeeze away without dimming vibrations either.

The silicone seems to be of high quality---it is odorless and easy to clean, though the bulges mean you'll need to pay a bit of attention when rinsing it. The bulges and the short length mean that the Pleasurepillar will give most pleasure as a g-spot vibe for women with shallow g-spots, but the delightful nook under the head will work for any woman, regardless of clit placement.

Design / Shape / Size

Like all of Doc Johnson's Wonderland collection, the Pleasurepillar is a hand-sized vibrator---small, but pleasant and powerful. With only about 4.5 inches insertable, the Pleasurepillar will be best suited for internal stimulation for women with close g-spots. Thankfully, the vibe is waterproof, so if you insert it deeper than intended by accident, no harm will be done.

Because the head is sort of oval, taking a diameter measurement is difficult, but it is similar to an average-sized thumb. After a short neck, the Pleasurepillar's three bulges increase gradually in size to be just under 1.5" diameter. The petite size of the Pleasurepillar make it a good choice for beginning toy users, or anyone who wants a vibe which slips easily into a pillowcase or purse.

The distinguishing feature of the Pleasurepillar's design is its hook-shaped head. The adorable little nose tip is also the most functional part of the Pleasurepillar---Doc Johnson has done an excellent job in putting out a toy that does not dull vibrations at all, even when flexed. So, the 30 degrees of flexibility of the neck means that the hook can be placed up in your g-spot, and will bob gently in rhythm without dulling vibrations. The neck's springy flexibility makes for perfect stimulation, and the shape of the nose is pinpoint, while the neck prevents you from being "poked" by it. The bouncing ability makes this the most pinpoint g-spot stimulation I've ever felt.

It is also a joy clitorally---the same hook-shaped head on the springy neck means that I can hook the Pleasurepillar up under my clit, pulling and bouncing up in time with the vibrations. This keeps the hood of the clit from stealing any of the vibrations' thunder, and again the pinpoint sensation feels lovely. I haven't ever chosen a clit vibe specifically with pinpoint stimulation in mind before, but it turns out I really like it!

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations of the Pleasurepillar are impressive in that they are not dimmed when pressure is applied---they stay thrumming along cheerfully no matter how hard you're bobbing the Pleasurepillar against your g-spot or clit. Also impressive is the fact that I can't tell whether the motor is in the caterpillar's head or his body---the vibrations in both spots are equally strong, and even when the hook is only used clitorally and flexed, there is no vibration diminishment.

The vibrations are what is expected for a single-AA powered toy: they will not thrill the power queens of the world, but they should be sufficient for women with an average appetite for vibration strength. They are in the middle of the rumbly-buzzy spectrum---they are not as rumbly as a luxury toy, but they are not so high pitched that they are numbing or unpleasant. The vibrations are nice and will suit a majority of women.

The waterproof feature of the Pleasurepillar is important, not only for shower play and for easy washing (where it stands up just fine), but also for insertion. More than once I would not be paying attention and would slide the Pleasurepillar deep enough inside me that the waterproof seal had to protect the battery and circuit board against my lubrication---but it did a fine job!

The controls are the only part of the Pleasurepillar that I think needs improvement. When you turn it on, you are treated first to high vibration mode, and pressing the button each successive time brings you to medium vibration mode, then low vibration mode, and then seven distinct patterns. The Pleasurepillar can be turned off at any time by pressing and holding the button for a few seconds. When you turn it back on, you start off at the pattern at which you left off. As someone who likes to move from low speed to medium speed, or occasionally low to medium to high, it is really frustrating to have to loop through ten patterns to get where I want to go. Even if the Pleasurepillar restarted at high each time after being turned off, that would be an improvement---but I would have appreciated a pattern sequence that went low-medium-high instead of high-medium-low.

The control button is located right on the end of the vibe, which is easy to reach for you or for a partner, but it is also very easy to hit by accident, especially when you're inserting it; this resulted in my being jumped out of the mood to cycle through ten patterns enough times to get frustrated.
    • Lots of variety in function
    • Multiple settings

Care and Maintenance

A high quality, waterproof, non-porous plastic and silicone toy, the Pleasurepillar is quite easy to care for. It can be washed with soap and water between uses. It can be bleached with a 10% solution occasionally for a more thorough clean, but the bleach may affect the plastic base if it's used frequently.

The Pleasurepillar does not pick up much lint during storage, and it can be stored with other toys of stable materials. The battery should be removed for storage, though: not only to prolong your toy's life, but to prevent it from turning on unexpectedly.

Only water-based lubricants should be used with the Pleasurepillar, as silicone lubes may interact poorly with the silicone vibe, and oil-based lubes might not agree with the plastic battery cover.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The Pleasurepillar comes in a cardboard storybook-like packaging with a plastic form to hold the toy, which is simple, informative, and clever. It is rather bulky for long-term storage, though, so you may prefer keeping this in a toy pouch.
    • Very informative
    • Would make a nice gift
