Seduced By Whimsy

With more powerful vibrations and little more attention in manufacturing, this toy would be really awesome but as it is it's just nice. I got it for the g-spot hook and cuteness, and I imagine a lot of people will do the same. If you're getting it for that, well, it certainly succeeds. If you are looking for "powerful" settings though, you might be disappointed.

Use

The Pleasurepiller is a vibrator designed to focus on stimulating the g-spot. The flat side on the head also makes it good for clitoral stimulation. The size and lack of flared base mean you should definitely not use this for anal stimulation internally, though you can use it around the outside.
This toy will work for anyone who has a g-spot or a clitoris in theory, but I would recommend it only to those who already like toys that hook like this for g-spot play instead of, say, toys with a more subtle curve for thrusting. I would also not recommend it to people who like powerful vibrations, because the power on this toy is pretty mediocre.

Material / Texture

The silicone on this toy is a real treat. I was really happy to get it out of the package and touch it, discovering that it was much harder than other silicone toys I own but still flexible enough to be comfortable. It's smooth and a little velvety to the touch. While it is flexible, the silicone has no give. It's not squeezable. While I usually go after soft, squishy silicone for insertable toys this was a nice and welcome change of pace.

The material should be friendly to both beginners and advanced users, but people who love texture should look at the stock photos and see if the shape will stimulate them. There is nothing like, say, veins or grooves all over the toy to provide that kind of texture, so texture lovers may not like this one.

The silicone has no odor or taste that I could detect.
    • Flexible
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The design is what got me to request this toy as an assignment. It's adorable and I love the greenish color, which is a color toys don't come in very often. As a huge Alice In Wonderland fan, I loved the idea of toys meeting that theme. This one looked like something I would enjoy based on other toys I like as well.

It's vaguely shaped like a caterpillar bowing its head, with a bulgy body and flat-topped head curved down almost to meet the first round bulge of the body. This curve makes it good for g-spot stimulation, hypothetically, but may not work for you.

Since the design is more artistic and cute than sexual, it is kind of discreet but it looks rather obviously like something that can be turned on due to the button on the bottom and where you put the batteries in, so you'll have to come up with a good excuse for what it is if you leave it out.

My only problem with the design is how short the "handle" portion where you put the battery is, and the large seam running down both sides of the toy, front and back. I can't feel it during use, but it is unsightly and rough to the touch.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Pleasurepillar is controlled with a simple button on the bottom. The bottom lights up when the toy is on and flashes in time to the patterns. The box boasts ten intense patterns but, well, I wouldn't exactly describe them as intense.

The first patterns are a steady "high" vibration, a steady medium vibration, and a steady low vibration. Now, most vibrators I have start from low and proceed to high. With the strength of this one, I assumed it was the same way until I noticed the vibrations were getting progressively weaker from the first to third. That was disappointing. I've had watch battery vibes more powerful than this one to be honest.

After that comes the patterns, an escalating pattern from low to high, low short pulsations, high long pulsations, high short pulsations, medium short pulsations, high long pulsations, and very low short pulsations. None of them particularly excited me, as the low ones seemed like the toy was barely vibrating at all to me.

To turn it off, hold the button down for two seconds. You also push the button to change patterns.

The only upside to the toy's weakness is that the sound is very discreet. It's comparable to a cell phone vibrating very softly. It could not be heard much over a blanket at all, and definitely not through a closed door.

And, yes, this toy is supposed to be waterproof.

The toy is run by one AAA battery. Two or rechargeable would have been better in my humble opinion.
    • Discreet sound
    • Lots of variety in function
    • Weak

Care and Maintenance

Silicone is very easy to take care of. Only use water-based lubricants with this toy to keep the toy from becoming damaged. To clean it, you can use antibacterial soap and water or use a diluted bleach solution to get it even cleaner. I would not recommend boiling this one or putting it in the dishwasher because of the internal motor.

I store the toy in its original packaging, but the toy is small and you can put it anywhere you like basically. It doesn't take up a lot of space and lint doesn't stick to it as much as it does to other silicone toys I own.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The packaging is lovely. It's clearly Alice In Wonderland themed, and the designers who worked on this deserve a medal. It's absolutely beautiful and good for storage too! The front has a photo of the toy against the background of wallpaper opening up to reveal the checkered floor of Wonderland. The back has information on the toy. It says: "A mysterious character, the playful silicone pleasurepillar features a g-spot curve and knows how to make you squirm with delight. Explore a world of blissful possibilities with 10 intense functions and a waterproof design." Further down it says:
- Silicone
- 10 intense functions
- Lighted LED push button control
- Waterproof
- Hold button for 2 seconds to power off

Once you take the cardboard cover off, there is a cardboard box with a magnetic panel that opens up. Inside is a space where the toy sits and pictures of other toys in the line on the other side.
    • Good for storage
    • Would make a nice gift

Experience

My body and this toy, unfortunately, just did not get along. I already knew the vibrations wouldn't be strong enough for me to really enjoy (They feel like a mere tickle to me, now that I'm spoiled by stronger vibrators.) but I was willing to forgive that, since I don't like internal vibrations all that much anyway. When I inserted it and tried to use it, I found that it was really hard to keep holding it because of the size and shape. The only way to hold it would force me to push up against the button and change the vibration setting if it was on. This toy would be better if it had a longer handle. Then it would also have enough room for another battery, which would increase the power.

The next problem I found was that the toy would constantly twist around inside me, due to not being able to be held in place properly. This gave it little use as a g-spot toy, since the minute it would find my g-spot it would flip around and press somewhere uncomfortable.
I do think the shape feels good when it's hitting the right areas, but it would work best with a partner holding it.
Follow-up commentary
I haven't picked this toy up once since reviewing it and I will probably end up giving it to a friend. It just isn't as good as other toys I have. While I like the shape, I have other toys of similar shape that just do it better (The shape is really nice in glass, like my Amethyst toy.) and of course I have vibrators that are stronger and better.
I wanted to love this toy, I just can't.
