Not perfect, but improved

It's not the most powerful "bullet" style vibe on the market, but it's going to be good enough for many people. If you have trouble finding a vibrator that you consider powerful enough, then you'll want to skip the Mia2.

Use

Mia v2.0 is an external-only vibrator meant primarily for clitoral stimulation, although creative people could use it for external stimulation of the penis, perineum, anus, nipples. It could be a great travel vibe, due to the sort of lipstick-esque shape and the fact that it charges via USB, for laptop carrying people. Free from corded power packs, it is a great addition to foreplay.

Material / Texture

Mia2 is made almost entirely of hard plastic. The buttons are silicone. The hard plastic is shiny and will not require lube for most people. The slick hard plastic is completely smooth, so if you prefer texture, this isn't the vibrator for you.

Design / Shape / Size

The cap has the slanted-end "lipstick" shape to it, but unless you want to really tone down the vibrations, the cap end isn't meant to be used. The end with the motor in it is "bullet" shaped. The cap, for me, didn't come off too easily thanks to the groves inside the cap and the silicone (possibly rubber) grips inside on the main body which hold onto the cap.

The Mia2 could easily be tossed in a makeup bag and, unless you pick it up to examine it, be completely unremarkable. When plugged in to the USB port on your laptop for charging it would be mistaken for a USB memory stick....a femme, posh one, but nonetheless it doesn't scream sex toy.

The size is probably a little bit bigger than you may expect. If we're comparing it to tubes of lipstick it is very oversized. Mia 2 is a bit bigger than the We-vibe Salsa/Tango.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Lelo likes to utilize patterns in everything, which is wasted on me. The Mia 2 is supposed to be twice as powerful as the original. I wouldn't say to expect it to blow you away, but if you found that the original Mia was just not quite enough, then you'll likely be fine with the Mia 2. It's not nearly as powerful as the We-Vibe Salsa/Tango, but it was actually just powerful enough (and more rumbly than buzzy) to get me off. On a scale of 1 to 5, 1 being the most sensitive clit, I'd rate mine at about a 4, 4.5.

There are 5 patterns and approximately 6 power levels. Sometimes I can't tell the difference between power settings, and sometimes it seems like there are more discernible ones when decreasing than when increasing. The patterns are pretty typical - slow "chacha", fast "chacha", straight escalation, rollercoaster like, and then something that seems almost random. You have to press and hold the "+" button to get to the patterns. I pretty much use this only on high, and never use the patterns.

To turn it off, you have to press the "-" button until it slows down and then shuts off, or just press and hold. You can lock this for travel by pressing and holding both buttons for a few seconds.

Mia2 isn't overly noisy, but isn't whisper-quiet, either. It's waterproof and performs just fine in a water situation. The main thing though that I dislike about the Mia 2 is integral to the entire design. For me, the buttons get gunked up with my fluids and it's not easy to clean. Fluid also gets trapped in the demarcation lines between the shiny metallic plastic band and the colored plastic. I much prefer the We-Vibe Salsa/Tango one-button design to the Mia 2 design, just for ease of cleaning. I also feel that the Salsa/Tango button-at-the-top is easier to press during use than the location of the Mia 2 buttons.

Care and Maintenance

You could probably get away with using a hybrid lube on this, since they don't contain much silicone. I've used the Wet Synergy lube with a lot of silicone toys, with no destruction. Otherwise, stick to water-based. Clean up is still fairly easy, just be careful when you're cleaning it if the cap is off, you won't want to get water in the USB plug.

Packaging

The packaging is typical, Lelo packaging. A nice, sturdy black box that can be used for storage and it comes with a satin drawstring pouch and a little sachet of Lelo brand lube.

Personal comments

I'd still personally choose the We-Vibe Salsa/Tango over the Mia2, but since it does hold a charge for a long time, I've found myself using it only when all of my S/T vibes are dead because I'm too lazy to go charge them up. I've gone a few months in between use, and the Mia2 still had juice left.

I like Mia 2 and have two of them but sometimes it just isn't strong enough. It's decent vibe none the less! Great review!
