The Mia 2 is my hands-down favorite clit vibe right now. Mia is a luxury clitoral vibrator made by LELO. I feel that this toy has definitely lived up to its luxury label, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

I think that Mia would make a terrific vibrator for someone who lives with roommates or family for the following reasons: The design is completely inconspicuous looking, it's easy to charge, quiet, and you can sneak it into the shower if you don't want anyone to walk in on you. If you want to masturbate with ninja stealth, here is the one for you! I am in the opposite situation, I live alone with no need for discretion and I still find myself reaching for Mia every time because I absolutely adore the functions

The main differences between the original Mia and the new and improved Mia 2 : The new generation is completely waterproof, whereas the Mia 1 is just splashproof. This toy is safe to use while showering or submerging in the bathtub. LELO has claimed that the motor is 100% more powerful in the new model. You can read other reviews for a more detailed comparison since I do not have the original.

This toy is made for external stimulation, it is not intended to be inserted into the anus or vagina, though you can massage the perineum, vulva, and clitoris. Mia would also be great for teasing other erogenous zones like the nipples, breasts, and neck.

Mia is made of plastic and has a completely smooth texture. Plastic is safe, nonporous, and free from phthalates. The material is completely firm with no give, and the vibrations translate well. You can apply firm pressure with Mia and the vibrations will not weaken. The control buttons are made of silicone.
The plastic is ultra smooth and there is very little drag. If you do prefer a completely smooth glide, LELO recommends water based lube only. The manual states: "If you use a silicone-based lubricant, please contact LELO Customer Care for further advice." I always use water based lube with Mia because of the silicone buttons. As you may know, silicone-based lubricant is never recommended with silicone toys because it has potential to damage the material.

The rounded tip at the bottom of Mia is the side that’s intended to be used. The motor is in the rounded end so that's probably the end you're best off using. You could use the flat end of the cap if you wanted to, but it’s a cap and the vibrations on that side will be significantly weaker.

Mia has no noticeable scent or taste. Yes, I tasted it. For science.

This is marketed as a lipstick vibe but it looks more like a tube of mascara. Genius! Throw it into your purse or makeup bag and nobody would have a clue what the real purpose is. Leave it lying around with the cap on, you have a tube of mascara. Leave it sitting around with the cap off, it's your slightly large flash drive. I left it on my desk while a friend came over (again, for science.) and she thought it was mascara... She was so interested in my new brand of mascara that she grabbed it and upon further inspection said, "...Why are there buttons on it?" I got to explain after that. If your friends are really beauty-conscious, store it away. You could leave it out with the cap off, but then your super tech-savvy friends might grab it like "Ooh girl, did you get a new flash drive?". Regardless, it looks completely unassuming to the casual observer. The small size means it is easy to hide, but the covert shape means you could easily hide it in plain sight.


One of these things is not like the other... It fits right in. Nobody would know!

Mia is noticeably bigger than a standard sized bullet. I think clitoral vibrators are usually non-intimidating for beginners and Mia’s cute design makes it an extremely non-intimidating I think it Mia would has something to offer to the toybox of a person with any level of experience, beginner to advanced.

Sometimes the buttons are difficult to find with slippery hands. No other design complaints from me.

The vibrations are not hand-numbing and this is one of my biggest issues with some bullet vibrators on the market. The vibrations don't travel as well to the cap and it is especially comfortable to hold at this end.

This is one of the most ideal travel vibrators I've seen because it is so small and unassuming looking. Plug it into your laptop or a USB wall charger/car charger while in new places or while traveling, no need for batteries. Mia also has a handy travel lock to keep it from accidentally turning on while you’re moving about.

Mia is quiet. Super quiet! You can't hear it through the covers at the highest setting. It's a low 4 vrooms at the highest setting. If you have a very sensitive clit, you are able to use the lower settings just fine. I counted 10 levels of steady vibration. Perfect if you like a lot of warming up. Also suitable if you don't, just hold the button down and go straight to the top. It won't satisfy a power queen, but it will suit someone who likes moderate to slightly high power. I find the vibrations to be a mix between rumbly and buzzy. I love the vibrations and I don't have to worry about going numb from buzziness like in other vibrators I've tried.
I had no issues with using this toy in the shower or while washing it off under water in the sink.

You can plug Mia 2 into your computer/laptop USB port or USB wall charger to power it up. There is a blinking light while charging and you will know it's done charging when the light stays on steadily. Charge Mia for eight hours when you first take it out of the box. The battery is long-lasting and I find that I can use it for three or four longer sessions before I feel the need to recharge.


Controls:
Mia is controlled by two buttons. The controls are user-friendly and easy to figure out. Press the PLUS sign button to go up in power and press the MINUS button to go down. When you get to the highest vibration level, hold the PLUS for three seconds to turn on the patterns. Cycle through the five patterns by pressing PLUS, go back to steady vibrations with the MINUS.

The emergency “OH NO, I'VE BEEN CAUGHT WITH MY PANTS DOWN" shutoff function works by pressing both buttons at once. Hold down both buttons for a few seconds to turn on the travel lock, hold both buttons again to turn it off. Mia will not remember your last setting and will start at the lowest vibration when you turn it back on.

Patterns
There are five.
1. Highest setting pulsation.
2. Faster pulsation.
3. Purring engine- steady climb to the top, stops. Repeat.
4. The rollercoaster- ascends to the highest vibration and descends to the lowest.
5. Random- starts and stops with varying pauses and levels of vibration

Unlike this Mia’s single-numbered predecessor, this toy is completely waterproof. Cleaning is pretty easy. I wash my toy in the sink with warm water and mild soap. Just take care not to get any water into the USB charging port. It won't charge if that happens. Make sure the cap is on tightly and everything's good. There is an o-ring around the cap to ensure that water won't get in. If you prefer toy cleaner or wipes to washing in the sink, that’s cool. You can do that with no problems.

Register your warranty as soon as possible in case the worst happens. LELO has a great warranty policy; the company will replace your toy if it breaks within one year. PLUS, you also get the Ten Year Warranty. If it breaks within ten years of the purchase date, you will be able to buy a new LELO product from the manufacturer website for half of the listed price. Your warranty information will be included on a plastic card and you can register for your warranty on LELO's site. Very easy.

Kind of like when you unplug things from electrical outlets, make sure that you take your Mia 2 out of your computer carefully when you’re done charging. Pull from the base of the metallic looking part instead of by the toy’s middle or end. The metal band has potential to come apart if you're careless.

Common Sense Tip: I store my Mia 2 in the drawstring LELO pouch. When you're charging Mia, put the cap inside the satin pouch and store it in the usual location. If you're like me and your computer desk is piled with crap, that cap would otherwise never be seen again. Keep the cap safe!



Looks like a flashdrive.

There is a thin outer box with the company name on the front and the product info and picture on the back. Inside this is a sturdy inner box that bears resemblance to the sort of box that fancy jewelry comes in.

The contents of the inner box: A sample of LELO water based lubricant, the manual, your warranty card, a black, satiny drawstring storage pouch, and your Mia 2 (of course). The outer box would be completely discrete if it didn’t say "PLEASURE OBJECT" on it. I would toss the outer box If you’re planing on giving Mia as a gift and just give the study, black box. I think that the packaging is very classy overall.

Cheaper brands will sometimes have scantily clad ladies all over the box and I find that unappealing. The black box is pretty slim and could be used for storage if you wanted to. I find that throwing it into the satin pouch is much more convenient. Did I mention how much I love toys that come with a storage pouch?
