Mia 2 - discreet massager discontinued by LELO - review by ashxxx

My previous, and only, bullet was the Doc Johnson Harmony Yin, which served me well for over two years. Unfortunately, the motor recently started to die, so I had to look for something new. I always wanted a Lelo vibrator or bullet, so I decided to look into the Mia 2. Overall, I am very happy that I did.

As far as the intensity goes, I cannot compare it to other Lelo products since I only have their kegel balls, but compared to my Harmony Yin, this thing definitely has more power. Some people say that if you're a power queen to stay away, and although I can see that (e.g., as in the case where you really need Hitachi Magic Wand level vibrations to make you orgasm), I think this is plenty for the average user.

It came in a nice box and has a bag to store it in. Like my kegel balls, this Lelo product also came with a sample of Lelo lube.

The design is nice, though I find that my fingers are vibrating more than with my other bullet during use. This isn't a big deal for me, I could see it being distracting for some. It has two buttons: + and -. You press the plus button to turn it on and hold it to make the vibrations more intense. Although it has multiple modes (i.e., different types of pulses), I've mostly just used the steady vibrations. I could see the others being a lot of fun though, and I intend to try them out some more. It's very easy to hold, and I do like that the length is slightly longer than other bullets I've seen. I can place it on my entire vulva and vibrate the entire area while still having focused vibrations on my clitoris. Overall, it's very pleasurable!

As far as the volume goes - it is definitely quieter than I expected. When I used it under my covers I could barely hear it! I think this would actually be really great if you have roommates. People may be able to hear it through thin walls if you are just using it out in the open, but your covers will definitely muffle most of the noise that this generates!

I was sick of going through so many batteries before, and now I do not have to worry about that! This thing is USB chargeable! I charged it for about 2 hours before using, and from what I've read that will give you a couple hours of use (the directions are generic for all Lelo toys and do not say anything about charging). Personally, this is great for me! I live with only my boyfriend, so I use our USB wall charger for our Samsung Galaxy S4 cell phones, but you can also use your computer to charge it. The only downside to this is that if you live with other people who would see your computer, they might see your bullet plugged in and charging! Of course this depends on your relationship with the other people in your house, but you might not want something that has to be charged out in the open! One solution to this would be if you had one of those USB wall chargers that you could hide behind a dresser or night stand! It's definitely a lot more convenient and environmentally friendly for batteries, so I would definitely find a way to make it work if that would be a problem for you!

I still like the Mia 2, but after only a few months of use, it recently stopped working. When I tried to plug it in to charge, it would begin vibrating and I couldn't turn it off - I had to just let it lay somewhere and vibrate until it eventually stopped on its own. I was pretty sad about this since it was a decent quality bullet, or so I thought.

However, LELO offers 1-year warranties on their products, so I have shipped it back and they are looking at it. They will most likely be sending me a new Mia 2. So although the product didn't last, I will be giving it another try when I get the replacement. Hopefully this one was just a fluke and the replacement lasts.
