An Egg Can Only Hold So Much

The Tenga egg is great for guys who want to add something new to their masturbation session without investing in a sex toy to keep long term. You might get more than one use out of it if you handle it with care. However, stretching it over the entire length of your penis may break it, depending on your size.

Use

The Tenga egg is a single-use masturbation kit that includes a thin disposable masturbation sleeve and a foil packet of lube contained inside of a hard plastic egg. To use it, you peel the wrapper off the egg, remove the soft egg-shaped sleeve, and pour the lube into the hole at the end of the sleeve. The other end is closed, so you don't have to worry about the lube leaking out.

The egg stretches out over your penis as you use it, and when you're done the ejaculate is contained inside so there's no mess to deal with afterward.

Material / Texture

The Tenga egg is made of thin white silicone that's soft to the touch and very stretchy. It has no scent and isn't sticky. There are currently 8 different internal textures to choose from, each with a different configuration of ridges or nubs to create friction.

Because the material is so thin, it transfers the heat and the contour of your hand through it, so it's sort of like masturbating with a super thick soft condom.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

The overall design is brilliant. Since it's nothing more than a regular-sized plastic egg, very few people would think much of it if they saw it. Not only that, it's small enough to toss in your brief case, glove compartment, or even a coat pocket.

At first the silicone sleeve maintains its egg shape fairly well, so if you put it on the end of your penis and let go, it stays there and looks like you're wearing a hard-boiled egg. It's stretchy enough to easily sheath a variety of penis girths, but isn't designed to stretch more than about 5" down.

Care and Maintenance

Since it's designed to be a single-use toy, you can simply throw the Tenga egg away when you're done. If you want to try to get a few more uses out of it though, you can turn it inside out and wash it with soap and water. Any water-based lubes are compatible with it, and you can store it in the plastic egg it came in.

Packaging

This is literally a what-you-see-is-what-you-get sex toy. There's no additional packaging; just the plastic egg with its cellophane label to hold it shut, and the Tenga egg sleeve and lube packet inside.

Aside from the label's front, all the writing on it and the lube packet are in Japanese, so it's impossible for us to say what the lube ingredients are or if there were any instructions for using the toy.

Experience

Alan says:
I hate to be the odd man out, but in spite of all the great things I've heard about these my experience with the Tenga "Wavy" texture egg wasn't great. Without getting too graphic, I can say that if I held myself where I normally grip, the sleeve created no friction on the head and I was afraid to pull the sleeve too far down because the end started looking really thin. But if I gripped it closer to the head, the sleeve tended to wad up at the top and leave a fair portion of the shaft lacking. It wasn't all that stimulating either way. The wavy texture chafed a bit too, even with the lube, so I figured I was doing something wrong.
My wife decided to take over then, but she confirmed my worry when on the second stroke (which still chafed) she stretched the egg all the way to the base and my prick broke through the end. Needless to say, there was no joy after that.

Michele says:
Even though the Tenga egg is supposed to be a one-time use thing, I thought they could have made it just a tad more durable. It's not a bad toy, just know that if your man is longer than 6", the egg may not be able to handle him.

An additional idea here for the girls - a friend of mine buys these to stretch over the head of her Hitachi wand. She says they last a good long time that way and add some interesting sensations for her. I haven't got a wand to test the Tenga in that capacity, but it's worth a shot if you have one.

Excellent review! I saw these in the product listing, and I actually couldn't figure it out at first. Seems like it's kind of a waste, since it's only a one time thing.

Amanda-- let us know how it goes. I can't help that wonder if it was the texture that made this one perform not so well.

    S,L&P-- Thanks you

Meghan-- It really is a shame, because the material's nice enough that you don't *want* to throw it away.

Sammi-- I've actually contemplated buying a Hitachi just to see how it works myself (lol)
