A Slut's Guide to Polyamory! Is this book a Bible or a Weapon?

What does it take to be a successful poly or open relationships person? Do you have what it takes? This book attempts to show you the way. The main important keys of success are well described...but at the price of the author's cheer leading tone that monogamy is just old fashion. A Slut's Guide to Polyamory! Is this book a Bible or a Weapon?

Follow-up commentary
I would rather say I am still on the fence about it. I feel the same still that I did not like the tone of voice used by the writers....but I also learned a lot about dealing with jealousy and couple conflicts. That is valuable info that I can use all the time and it was well explained. That empowers me and that is what I got out of the book in the end.

Sounds like a really interesting book. I'm not sure if I'd enjoy the author's tone from the way you described it.

Great review. I am finding more and more books that are supposed to be about ONE sexual issue actually have a hidden agenda, that one doesn't find until the book is obtained and read. I though this book would be about reclaiming the word "slut" and claiming one's one sexuality, while not allowing the word to be used as an insult.

I see it has a similar agenda to a book I recently read that was supposed to be about orgasm and was really about how men (the gender) have "destroyed the planet" and how both monogamy and intimacy are for fools.

These kinds of books not only upset me, they are not honest.

Thank you for your honest review.

Thank you P'Gell for you comment. Indeed that side of the book really bothered me, but the 2 chapters on dealing with jealousy and how to fight well were excellent. Just skip the rest lol.

Thanks for the review! It's a pity the authors are so snarky about monogamous people. Everyone gets to choose their own relationship boundaries, no need for them to be jerks to those whose boundaries involve having only one partner. Thanks for coupling useful critique with an outline of the book.
