I am a huge fan of Dossie Easton and Janet W. Hardy, and have read a few of their other works. These authors take a subject matter they know well, and practice themselves, and present it in a manner that is easy to understand and well thought out. Their passion for understanding the material is evident in every word they have written.

They write in a style that is seamless and well thought out. It is easy to understand their work if you are new to the way of life or an experienced practitioner.

This book is about polyamory and open relationships in general. It gives a no nonsense guide to understanding how to make these types of relationships work. It tackles topics that arise in even the most healthy multiple partner relationships such as jealousy, conflict, sexual frustration, and negativity, to name a few. They also address communication within a relationship, New Relationship Energy, multiple house couples, childrearing within an open relationship, boundaries, sex, and how to open an existing relationship. There is a comprehensive glossary and a wonderful resource guide in the back of the book.
The writing style is very fluid, melding these topics in a seamless way. While reading the book, you feel more like you are having a conversation with the authors instead of reading a book of straight facts about a relationship style that is still considered taboo by society in general.
The book is geared towards anyone who is already involved in a polyamorous or open relationship, someone who is wanting to gain more understanding of what makes these types of relationships work, someone who is interested in opening up their current relationship, or a person who is new to the world of open relationships.

The book is put together well with a layout that assists in the overall flow of the information. So far, after multiple readings by each member of my triad the binding has stood up well and a standard highlighter's ink does not bleed through the pages.
The text size and font were perfect, not too small and not too large, adding to the ease with which the book is read and understood.
The only reason I say it is not a discreet cover is because the most prominent word on the cover is the word slut, written in a larger type face and in an orange color on a black background while the rest of the title is white on black.

All three members of my triad have read this book and have used several of the topics presented as a jumping off point to begin discussions about our beliefs about polyamorous relationships. All three of us have agreed that it is a book that should be on the bookshelves of the members of any polyamorous or open relationship. By reading this book as a group, we have avoided many points of conflict because we discussed them before they sprouted.
