Ethical Slut - book discontinued by Celestial Arts - review by Lady Neshamah

This is the second copy of the book that I have had. I had a first edition that was stolen by a sub that I once had and is long since dumped.

In the poly community, The Ethical Slut is called the Bible according to Dossie. Most of us have read it a few times and have copies of it that we pass around to our friends and chosen family.

The book is written by Dossie Easton and Janet W. Hardey. The second edition was published in 2009. I think the first edition came out in 1998. There is a lot of changes and updates in the second edition and it is over all changes that where very much needed and wanted.

There is a lot of wonderful information about non-traditional relationships in this book and how to make them work for you. The major idea of the book is about communication communication communication communication. How to talk with your partner/s, friends and family about it and wanting to start in this world. How it can work for people. there is a lot of personal stories from poly people in there too. There is even about children can thrive and actually be raised with a stronger family unit.

It does talk about how to deal with jealousy and how to work with it and around it. There is a lot of talk about honesty with your partners and that poly isn't creating on your mate but it is just an open and honest way of living.

It talks about different kinds of poly groups and the advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of poly groups.

This book is a must for anyone that is wanting to try or is living alternative lifestyles.

Actually, this book is good for anyone in any kind of relationship to read.
