The Venus Body Butter series is a moisturizing lotion that is somewhat thicker than normal lotion, similar to other body butters. It applies easily and is fantastic for use after a bath or shower, or in conjunction with a massage. The lavender scent is subtle, yet is still very pleasant. As my wife said when we first opened it "It doesn't smell like fake lavender scented things, this smells like real lavender was used."

We use this product after my wife has had either a bath or shower. The body butter is absorbed slower than normal body lotion, and leaves my wife's skin feeling very moisturized. After application her skin feels very smooth and moist, but not overly so like can happen when too much body lotion is applied. It has a thick consistency like other body butters and is great for massaging into the skin. I usually use this in lieu of massage oil when I am giving my wife a massage. It feels great and moisturizes the skin and allows the hands to glide easily over the skin.

I would not recommend using this body butter if you have to be somewhere quickly, because it does take some time for the body butter to be absorbed by the skin. Your skin will feel a little sticky/greasy while the body butter is being absorbed, but after it has been absorbed the skin feels excellent. My wife also uses this as a hand lotion on extremely cold/windy days.

It comes in a plastic jar with black plastic lid, I would say about 4" or so in diameter. The container holds eight ounces of body butter, and the tub has lasted us about 2 1/2 months and we still have some lotion left in the jar at the moment. We do not use this product on a daily basis, we rotate it with others, but the body butter is used at least once a week. You will need a fair amount of the body butter during application if you are wanting to massage into the whole body.

My wife loves this product and we have ordered different scents to try in addition to another tub of the Lavender scent. If you prefer thicker type lotions for your skin this will do the job nicely.

This is rapidly turning into my wife's favorite lotion/body butter! We are now on our second tub and she wants to try some of the other scents as well. It is absorbed slowly by the skin, but once it's absorbed your skin feels great. It can also work as a massage cream/oil as it is absorbed so slowly.
