Moisturizing Butter

With a great scent and moisturizing properties this is a body butter well worth the price. I am hoping EF gets more of the different fragrances in because I sure would love to try a few more!

Winter dry and achingly rashy skin plagues us every year and we're always looking for SOMETHING to ease the itching and red bumps. One of my friends at EdenFantasys suggested I try the Venus Body Butter. Since I really like green tea i thought I'd give it a try.

You get quite a lot of product for the price with this 8 oz tub. The tub and lid are composed of recyclable plastic. It's sturdy and quite pretty. The tub looks good sitting on a dresser top or on a shelf in the bathroom. There's nothing here that would shock or dismay anyone; it is 100% safe for Grandma!

The cream, itself, is heavy, mineral rich and a lovely shade of light green. It has added dead sea salt to help keep the skin moisturized according to the label. It melts easily and sinks into the skin a treat. Even my super dry heels feel noticeably softer after using this cream on them. A little bit goes a fairly long way though so keep that in mind!

The ingredients are pretty normal for a body butter: Shea butter, Almond oil, Dead Sea minerals, Octyl palmitate, Ceteareth 20, Ceteraryl alcohol, Propylene glycol, Steareth 30, Ceteth 10, Vitamin e, carbomer, Methyl paraben, Diazolidinyl urea. Nothing startling here or likely to irritate sensitive skin.

As you can see the cream is heavy and very creamy. The fragrance is very much similar to green tea with honey. The fragrance isn't overwhelming but it does tend to linger and mix with other scents you might happen to be wearing. So far that has been a pleasant part of the lotion for me but I could see how it might not be for someone else.

The cream does sink into the skin but it can make for a nice surface for a light massage. The scent was too heavy for Sigel to tolerate anywhere near his nose for massages but as an after shower moisturizer it was just fine. My wearing it doesn't make him sneeze, which is nice. I love that it smells so clean and fresh for hours after I put it on. It leaves just a trace scent in whatever room you use it.
