A light dusting

I find this a great buy and worth having in your boudoir. It comes in a great scent and in a large size that will fit your edible dust needs. I think the feather duster would do well to become a powder puff because it just doesn't help with distribution of the product. Overall, I love having this and the pros outweigh the cons.

Use

Honey Dust by KamaSutra is an edible body dust. I chose to get the Tangerines & Cream body dust. I used this product several ways but the best I found was for my hands and shoulders. I tried the dust on my legs but I didn't really love it. I personally used this more after showers and everyday occasions than for partner play. It seems that this is one of those products that doesn't need to have a sexual aspect attached to it because using it makes you feel great. The dust applicator that comes with the dust is great for partner interaction because it gives a nice stimulating touch. I don't use the feather duster every time I use the dust because I find that it is more of a hassle. I don't have any skin allergies so I can't say that I was affected by it. I do have seasonal allergies and the only problem I had was when I opened the bag the powder came in, and it went up my nose.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The texture of this powder is that of cornstarch, which is one of the ingredients of the dust. It smooths out when you rub it so it doesn't feel heavy. It doesn't feel sticky when it is dry but if you add liquid to it or apply it when it is wet, it will have a slight stick to it. The dust also contains natural honey, fructose and honeysuckle. Honey is a sticky ingredient but when dry, it doesn't transfer sticky to your skin.

Taste / Aroma

The taste of this dust is slightly sweet, almost like sweetener. I wouldn't say that this tastes exactly like tangerines, but it does taste and smell citrus-y. The taste is not overpowering or extremely sweet so eating a lot of this wouldn't feel like consuming mass amounts of sugar. It smells exactly like orange cream soda. I feel like the smell is only noticeable when you sniff it at close distances. You won't be able to detect the scent in a room full of people.

Performance

This product is 8 ounces of edible powder, which is a lot more than the others. I think I won't need to get another dust for quite a while, but I use mine with a light hand. I used the dust for different lengths of time and noticed that while the color/sheer veil of the powder wore off after an hour, the smoothness and scent from the dust lasted for over 2 hours. This is an edible powder so if you prefer, you can wash it out when you're done, to avoid having that slightly tacky feeling. If you do wash it off, you don't need soap because it kind of slides off and doesn't leave a residue that soap is necessary for. Most of the time though, I didn't clean up the dust after I was done.

I like that the dust is like and has a scent that is pleasant and lasts a while. The dust is not messy unless you knock it over. But, I don't like putting the dust on and having it get on my clothes and whatnot. If that does happen, you just need to dust it off like you would with regular powder and it shouldn't leave a stain unless wet.

The feather duster for this dust is handmade and has a sturdy bottom handle. My feathers were bunched together so they didn't fan out as much. I just washed it and dried it so that it would spread out. For me, when I used the duster, it didn't spread out the powder like I wanted.

Packaging

The actual dust arrived in a sealed plastic bag that was inside the tin can. The feather duster came in an small drawstring pouch. I didn't have any instructions with this product included.

When I saw the dust in the tin, I wasn't sure if it was 8 ounces of dust because it only took up half of the can. If you decide to empty the powder in the can like I did, you will see that it is 8 ounces, give or take. I like having an air-tight can because I don't have to worry about the dust as much. I think that the can size is nice, but I also wonder if having the can longer, but with the same volume would make it more attractive.

Each piece of this product came individually; it wasn't together in its own box. Either way though, I think it is discreet because it isn't flashy. I would keep it out in my room if it weren't for "KamaSutra" which is quite noticeable. The actual size of the can and the dust would not be travel friendly for carry-ons. You would be better checking this if you wanted it when you were traveling. The feather duster is small enough to carry with you though.

Follow-up commentary
After a few uses, the chalky after-taste got to me. It's a nice product in terms of edibility. The taste is as it is listed. Overall, as a body powder it is great. Silky and smooth. The feather applicator is kind of a hassle. I think this product would be better paired with a puff.

Sorry to see this didn't work out. We love ours - admittedly we only use it once a month or so - but it makes a nice change-of-pace
