Use

Sink into delirium with the light touch, scent and taste of (in my case) strawberries and champagne. Diverge from your normal routine with a delightful foreplay enhancement that is sure to stimulate your senses. The natural, sensuous Honey Dust powder is best used with a partner but is also great for daily wear. The feather duster is great for tickling and teasing your partner and does a fine job of distributing the powder evenly on the skin. This powder can be used as an all-over body powder to keep skin soft and dry throughout the day. You can brush it on after your shower and you're good to go. It's light scent and taste is not overwhelming, so you'll easily be able to layer other scents.

Honey dust contains lots of natural ingredients. The powders corn starch base will absorb moisture. Honey is a great skin conditioner and moisturizer. Dried honey, found in powders like this one, has had its natural moisture extracted to yield dry, solid particles. Silica is a hard material with anti-caking properties. A small caution: silica can cause lung damage when inhaled in large quantities, but I doubt there's enough silica in this to cause any harm. Glucose and sodium saccharine are sweeteners. Sodium benzoate is used as a preservative. Red 33 and Red 40 are dyes commonly used in mouthwash and food coloring. Anyone with sensitivities to these ingredients should be aware.

To keep your lady bits happy, don't put this powder on them. It contains sugars that could lead to uncomfortable infections.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Honey Dust is a superfine powder. The delicate quality of this dust-like powder makes it extremely lightweight. Unfortunately, this quality also makes it difficult to control. Every time the lid is removed, powder poufs up. Additionally, the majority of it ends up either airborne or covering the counter during application rather than on your body.

What powder you do manage to get on you will leave your skin feeling silky soft and dry. Its ability to soak up perspiration and excess moisture is nice, especially with summer coming up. This drying effect is long lasting but doesn't over-dry the skin.

The feathers are seductively soft. Sadly, they're arguably inefficient. The applicator works well for covering broad surfaces but not so good for smaller surfaces like arms or neck. The feathers are all bent outwards. Unless only one side of the applicator is dipped in the powder, you have little control over where the powder ends up.

Taste / Aroma

Honey dust can be purchased in 5 different flavors, including Strawberries and Champagne, Raspberry Kiss, Tangerines and Cream, Chocolate Caress, and Sweet Honeysuckle. I chose the Strawberries and Champagne flavor.

When I first dumped the powder into the tin and took a whiff of it, I thought it smelled quite strong. It burned my nose a little. But, when used as intended, it smells great on the skin and also while being applied.

The scent is faint and doesn't last very long. It smells really sweet and kind of artificial. My mouth starts to water when I put this on myself or my partner. The smell of the airborne powder is so enticing.

The taste is similar to the smell - sweet and slightly artificial. It does, however, taste kind of like strawberries floating around in champagne. It's a nice light and sweet flavour, a little reminiscent of the powder in the Baby Bottle Pops. The flavor doesn't seem to last all that long on the skin either. For instance, the taste won't be there in the afternoon if the powder was applied in the morning.

I didn't smell the feathers before using them, but I don't recall any bad or strong smells anyway. However, the feathers simply smell of Honey Dust now.

Performance

You should patch test the powder before using it. If you do have a bad reaction to it, soap and water will wash it right off. Otherwise, there's no need to wash it away. This powder can be worn all day and keep you smiling.

The powder will transfer to clothing if too much is applied but it does not stain. Another reviewer mentioned using a makeup brush instead of the provided applicator but I seem to have misplaced all of mine. Instead, I dip the tip of the feathers in the powder and then shake them off a little in the canister. This way you won't waste as much or put too much on.

I have to say that I am impressed at how well this works. It's fun to put on, and equally so to kiss off. But it's also practical. It keeps my breasts smooth and dry all day and for that I can't recommend this product enough!

Packaging

You get 8oz of powder that comes in a clear plastic bag sealed with a twist tie. This bag is placed in the satin drawstring pouch and inside the canister with the feather duster when you first get it.

Here is a picture of everything you get. Notice that the satin pouch is not lined.

It is easiest to dump the powder right into the canister. I keep the feather duster standing upright next to the can on my vanity. Alternatively, store the duster in the satin pouch to keep it clean.

The tin is classy and discreet. The only suggestive words on it are "kissable" and "Kama Sutra".
Here is the front:

And here is the back, where you'll find basic instructions and ingredients:

The lid does not stay on very well. It lifts off easily so I would hesitate to travel with this if you dump it in the can as I did.
    • Can be opened with one hand
    • Would make a nice gift

Personal comments

This would make for a great gift. It can be used by virtually anyone.

I'd also like to add that it's not very big as you can see pictured below. It won't take up much space for storage.

Experience

After reading several reviews about the great taste and ability to keep your skin soft and dry I had to have it. I have to say that I am not disappointed in the least.

Initially, I tried brushing the dust on my partners arm and then licked it off to get a sense of what it tasted like. Silly me, I discovered later during our playtime that the powder was greatest when kissed off.

For foreplay, we followed the invisible trail of Honey Dust left by the tickling feathers with kisses. The delectable flavor was left on our lips and the tip of our tongues. My partner loved my enthusiasm and the extra kisses he was receiving. I think he had the most fun using the dust on me though. Between my giggling from being tickled, he actually discovered a couple new sensitive spots on me.

I'm giving it 4 stars because I think the taste could be less artificial and the feather applicator can be a little annoying. Overall, this is a great product that I will get a lot of use out of. I loved using this during our foreplay and I've started using it daily in my cleavage and under my breasts. I'd love to try other flavours to know if they taste a little more realistic, but I think this tin is going to last a long time.

I have not had any problems with this caking up on my skin but I have yet to put this stuff through a serious summer sweat test. I'll be sure to include that in a follow-up.
Follow-up commentary
I really love this stuff! My partner seems to think the powder is a hassle to use during our foreplay but he does like to use the feather on its own.

I dust the powder around my breasts almost daily after my shower. It keeps me feeling soft and fresh and my cleavage doesn't get sweaty in this sweltering summer heat.

I've used it before going to a hot yoga class and though I obviously did sweat through it, the powder did not cake up at all. The trick is to apply it sparingly.

When I put it on in the morning and end up rolling around in the sheets later that afternoon, my partner can still taste it on my skin so it does end up making it into our foreplay anyway.
