Soft And Oh So Sweet.

The feel and smell of Honey Dust is wonderful (though the taste isn't for everyone) and you get a fair amount for the price. With the warmer months coming on it'll be nice to have on hand but the packaging flaw is too much for me to over look. They need to get rid of the feather applicator and make the lid a screw down for this to be a truly great product.

Pros
Leaves skin feeling silky. Soft sweet scent. Nice amount of powder.
Cons
The feather applicator seems to get more powder in the air and less on me. Lid isn't secure.

Use

Honey Dust is a nice and easy to use body powder with just a few set backs. Because of its light scent I've started to use it as an everyday body powder, however Honey Dust is also flavored so it can be used as a bedroom accessory with your special someone. The cornstarch in Honey Dust helps to fight against chafing and you don't have to apply a lot to get the benefits of it.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Honey Dust is a soft, silky, cornstarch based body powder. It left my skin feeling soft but also seemed to dry it out a bit unfortunately. The feather applicator that came with it seems to get more powder on my counter top then on myself so I use an oversize makeup brush to help apply just the right amount to wear I need it, a powder poof would also work better at dispersing the powder

Taste / Aroma

I bought Honey Dust in the Strawberries & champagne scent/flavor as a gift to myself and as a gift to my lover. I do have to say the very light smell of strawberries is a bit on the sweet side but not unpleasantly so. The scent doesn't seem to last long and neither does the flavor, after two hours neither taste or smell lingered on my skin.
My significant other on the other hand was not a fan of the taste. He stated the cornstarch taste was over whelming and that it tasted faintly of perfume (but not of Strawberries & champagne), oh and seemed to give him instant dry mouth. So when it comes down to foreplay I ditch the powder, but for everyday wear I like it and continue to use it.

Performance

Aside from my partner taking a dislike to this product, I have to admit it does what its supposed to do. It's lightly scented and flavored with all natural ingredients. Once applied it stays where its put and doesn't stain clothing, though if you do put too much on and wear dark colors it will show up, kinda like how deodorant can leave white streaks on dark clothing. It keeps me dry and keeps certain areas from chafing so its great for the upcoming spring/summer weather. My only complaint is that the scent doesn't last long and if I sweat just a little more then normal the area that I used the powder on feels a little tacky.

Packaging

The biggest reason I couldn't give Honey Dust a higher rating is because of its packaging. The powder comes in a plastic bag inside of the tin. This bag isn't resealable so the only real option I had was to dump the powder into the tin (gently) but here is what bothers me the most, the lid isn't tight and doesn't screw down. It took all of three days for it to get knocked over on the sink counter and spill quite a bit of powder around. As for the feather applicator it is messy and looks more like a cat toy (which our cat has adopted)and smelt a little musty.
    • Would make a nice gift
    • Messy dispenser
    • Discreet looking packaging
